i drive cougar since 2007 . love them . i go to meetings in denamark and the bigest one that is in germany will be now in 2 weeks time

I remember that xr7 2as my college car during the height of the sport compact scene of the 2000s with some bolt ons thing would spank anything on campus that didn’t have a huge turbo under the hood

...Absolutely no idea what he's talking about...changing the wheels does not alter the geometry, and the geometry is not set electronically...a mistake many mechanics make with the Cougar geometry is adding the usual toe-in settings, the Cougar has a zero toe-in...that's probably what happened when they changed the wheels...I've owned two Cougars, one I ran up to 176,000 miles and I only scrapped it because I got hit by some dick head in a peugeot, the only fault I had in the five years I owned it was a dead battery...the (V6) engine is not as powerful as the ST200 mondeo, but it's far better on fuel, (40+ MPG on a long run) and it shares the same excellent chassis and suspension, it still has more BHP than an X-Type Jaguar and it's only insurance group 14...I do wish people would bother to research their facts before posting rubbish like this...

Yup I got an xr7 right out of high school…found one at auction for 4800 with less then 60k on the clock fully loaded and it wasn’t even 4 yrs old! Had it for 3 yrs sold it for a slight profit and then bought a 99 cobra. I do miss that cougar. It would’ve been a great daily instead of mods for the cobra😢

Silver is the only colour I'd buy this car in today.. the other colours didn't age so well. Nice car to drive, just be prepared for the usual ford rusty bolts when working on them.

Theres one near to me in Cumbria for 250 pounds only and the price is the only thing putting me off it! Will it last or stop on the A595 home?

picked a v6 xpack for 200 quid got a year out of it. waterpump replacef then the clutch died. not worth fixing (big job)

If you change the wheels you got to change the geometry on the electrics ........??????????🤔😂 Load of rubbish Wouldn’t buy a car off him he doesn’t know what he’s talking about 🤣 How embarrassing

Drives like a Granada? WTF????? I own a 2000 Cougar V6 and it's NOTHING like a Granada to drive. It's way better.
