Do you use it with an iPad or some other pc or usb midi device? What’s the chain, bruh?

@@Terrible_Peril I use it with amplitube custom shop on my phone when I play live with the xlr out going into a line in on the amp, but usually in a bedroom context I just rig it up to my pc and use plugins in reaper.

@@sirmaurice1023 very cool. I’ve been into the iOS production scene for quite a while now but moved away from it more recently after getting an hx stomp and some other bits of kit (instead of upgrading my iPad). These xtone pedals are exactly what was missing before.

BEFORE YOU BUY THIS (the XTone Pro) - BEWARE There's a BIG issue in that the switches send MIDI commands only on "release" of the foot switch and not on the "pressing" of them. This problem has been tested and proven by several folks using MIDI monitor plugins in AUM/iOS. DISGUSTINGLY....the vendor was approached, and they say there's no issue, that's how it's supposed to work (REALLY? That's the best you can do). This BIG issue makes the MIDI switches useless when precise timing is needed (looping, precise patch changes, etc. ). Additionally the "momentary" mode errors out in sending BOTH 0 and 127 at the same time. The MIDI capabilities here are a joke. DO NOT WASTE your money.

The thing does a million things. Sorry that those things are deal breakers for you, but they aren’t for me or for many people I’m sure. It’s still the best at what it does at this price point. Your critique is analogous to “This Swiss Army knife with 20 tools has a terrible pair of scissors. DON’T BUY IT!” Lol. The MIDI is essentially a bonus feature. It’s a low latency audio interface that allows for direct recording to mobile devices and use of software previously cumbersome to use live. Do you have some recommendations for something equally as compact, affordable, and generally useful?

I wish there was an expression pedal that had a toe switch like a wah pedal so I can turn off and on the virtual wah in Bias Fx.

How’s the latency? Debating between a MacBook and HX Stomp or IPad Pro and Xsonic. I’m just a hobbyist playing for fun (KZread backing tracks / Yousician / Truefire). Latency really bothers me though but what’s your thoughts on bedroom setup?

Are you able to use this to record little demos in garage band on the iPad? I know you can use tone bridge combined with garage band but what about bias effects? Never looked into it before

You can use this as an interface to record into garageband, but you cant control any of the functions with the switches because garage band doesn't support midi

Anyone figure out how to get midi triggers to learn tap tempo on delay pedals, not having any luck. I just want to adjust time on the fly

Are there any good programs like this that I could use on Android? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 and usually use Ableton and a really old version of ProTools on my laptop but it recently died and am saving up for a new one but have been thinking about trying something like this in the meantime. Know any good apps for Android?

Not really. If you get an iPad or iPhone even a few generations back you'll be able to run plenty of music creation apps simultaneously. DAWS, effects, practice, synths, drums, you name it. Ecosystem is great. I sold most of my pedals save for my fuzz and Alesis Quadraverb (I like the dated sound).

Android doesn't manage audio well. As well as an iPad, I put this (BIAS FX) on my daughters old iPhone 6 and it works great. You can pick one up for as little as 50 quid (UK) these days.

Does it work with ipad pro?

Where would you rank the surf drip in Bias FX2 compared to the SurfBear and Source Audio True Spring?

Well bellow. But it gets the job done in a pinch. At times it has some hilarious artifacts. Garage band also has an interestingly drippy reverb on some of their amp models.

60 Cycle Hum I got the impression the Bias FX would have a better surf drip than Garage Band. I base this on Positive Grid is focused on effects and other guitar related products and Garage Band is free and beginner-friendly DAW created by Apple as a part of a suite of various software for their computing devices.

Can you play this through a electric guitar amp?

Yes. You can run the left or right 1/4” outputs direct to an amp or any other normal application

@@heliosdevelopment and those amp and speaker combos all sound remarkably the same to the audience. and i can do a lot of this above stuff too with my Xtomp pedal, oops, who followed who? but seriously requiring buying bias fx, etc is not a good look. most of this i can do online with a boss gt10 as well, or a gt 100 for sure.
