I just pull the throttle back in high gear when I am shifting up in high gear.

Dual power is by far the most reliable.

Ironically it's the only one I've had issues with.

i like the IH system smooth to use great when your mowing , The John Deere system is good too , but IH is my favorite tractor make , I have a IH 674 with a loader and use it every day , the duel power on ford is very ok but they are not that smooth with the experience I have had which is a lot Ford have made some good tractors over time from the old Fordson Major to the 6600 which was a fine machine

Smooth engaging is less stress and lasts longer.

All 3 are good systems. All personnel preference. Have used all 3 and like all 3. Granted I am partial to red though. The small frame IH's will also free wheel with the ta pulled back. If used properly they will last a long time.

@@Mad_Farmer912 no only Deere copy’s others allis is I think close to the international but you can shift into low range on go down hill and it won’t free wheel but it not recommended better off stay in high range down hill

A torque amplifier is pretty much a power shift transmission similar to john deeres power shift transmission you can shift on the move

That's the big benefit of JD, you can shift between all gears. These you only have one shift in each gear.

I have had a ford tw20 and massey Ferguson 1135 for 30 years and use them hard and never had a problem with either one. 6000+ hours on both.

Massey 255 has them as well

The ih systems are not supposed to be shifted up under load. The old ta where weak.

They are not supposed to be used as a brake. They are to be shifted up and down crisply. Push them ahead in 1 motion quickly and the same when pulled back. Easing them forward and back is what wears them. Have all red tractors here, Have an 856 with over 9000 hours on the original ta. Wouldn't consider that weak. It's all in how you use them. Education is key on them.

​@@obieacres4676maybe it's true and I don't know if this is the original TA and there is over 6400 hours on the tach and I've owned this tractor 20+ years put over 3000 hours on it and the TA is the only thing I haven't touched. The TA is just one link in the chain and like pulling with a chain, a smooth pull and you move, jerk it and links break. Right or wrong it works for me and I'm fine with it.
