I was so excited to play with my chalk pastels in card making and I came up with 5 ways to use the chalks and 4 ideas for cards to share.
I recently went to the beach and I thought chalk pastels on cards with a 'beachy theme' was a great way to 'close' summer.
You'll be amazed how these chalk pastels work with a variety of coloring tools--from sponge daubers, to blending brushes and blending pens, Q-tips, and water painters too--there is a method everyone can choose and use!
You may think that chalk pastels are to be picked up and colored with like you would a crayon. You can do that but I found it easier to scrape some chalk off onto a paper plate or silicone mat. That's where the fun BEGAN with the chalks...watch the video to see all the goodies!

I just inherited a bunch of pastels for my sister I was getting ready to either throw them away or give them to Goodwill and I thought I’m going to watch a video and I watched years and I cannot wait to get to my craft room and use these thank you .

how do you seal the cards with chalk pastel? do they smudge the enevelope

You can spray the chalk pastel with a thin coat of hair spray if you are concerned about it smudging. I like to rub with a tissue to get off excess chalk.
On the card you used the versa mark, did you spray finished with hair spray?

You can do that. I showed that on one of the cards! But it's not necessary!
