What a team of enormous talent. Coleman and Kemp at the top of their games. Price, Dumars and Miller killing you from the outside. Young Mourning and O’Neal demonstrated what inside power is about. Dominique after his injury showed he could score from anywhere on the floor and much more than just the best dunker. Every position was world class if not world’s best. This happened while Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson were watching TV at home and Jordan went to play another sport. That mere thought is mind boggling. Now look at the 2021 Olympics. We were bullied inside and barely got by France with a desperation spurt. I would easily choose to watch this 28 year old game over what they have today.

Even though this game so far away for russia... It's still interesting with the dunk+block that they made... Wow basketball 90's was good
This is one of the most fun US International teams. All their bigs were young and hungry. But shout out to number 9 on Russia who has that same never back down never quit attitude of Petrovic and I think number 15 who got multiple blocks on guys who other NBA guys rarely tried to block.
Watched quite a few of these. Joe Dumars and Reggie Miller have been the surprises. Joe surprising for his offense and Reggie for his defense. That and the effectiveness of the pick and roll, usually run by Joe Dumars and any of the stellar bigs. If the defense follows Joe, he dishes it to the big for an easy lay up. If the don’t if frees up Joe for what seems like an automatic 12-14 footer. Great fundamentals
This was peak Kemp and Shaq. Just beasts. Unstoppable
Check also 2006 semifinal Greece-USA 101-95 with Lebron, Carmelo, Wade, Howard, Paul etc. In the US-team.
dont get fooled by the score, what I see is Russians played surprisingly fast, their moves are on point, playmaking, passing, mid range. Shows that teams in 60,70s could play with the teams today. What they lack in is size and of course the reason why international teams struggled against USA back then if the athleticism and length of the American players. That screwed up everything for the euro players so they are a bit out of sync on offense, defenders have longer arms so they are playing vs something they never could train against. That was back then, no you don't see USA beat teams by 50pts and you have euro players as nba mvps
Number 9 on Russia had the intensity. You can tell that dude loves basketball
すげー、開始から27点までアメリカのシュート成功率100%!

90s basketball was awesome. They played a physical, in-your-face game. Bigs were bigs, and allowed to bang. Defense was a thing, and teams took it seriously. The 80/90s were the best time to be alive, as a basketball fan. Games were straight up battles--the paint was a heavily contested. Ahh, the good ol' days.
This dream team 2 has a feeling of what it was like in the 90s all star game towards end of the first quarter, when all the starters are sitting down and bench guys come out playing all sloppy...that plus Shaq.
