    Heya man, do you any advice for someone who is constantly losing matches but is new to tekken and can't really pin down, amongst the fog of all the moves and such, what I'm doing wrong?

  • @ashkorew5405

    @ashkorew5405

    I’m not new to tekken but it’s the same for me. I mostly lose to people who are really aggressive or I don’t know the matchup. You could check your losses in the replay section it has hints to tell you where you went wrong and how to punish.

    @@godofpharts I think it is reacting to lows and imrpove defence overall. I know a lot of pros on youtube say not to focus on rank but it is hard when the game shoves it in your face and so it is like it seems to weaken any lessons that can be learned from each match.

    Nope, just go into the replay section and it shows all your matches. it even shows matches of other people. Thats how so some of these youtubers be getting their content from. Another cool thing is that during the replay you can take control of both characters but for like 10 seconds.@@MrGosu

    Do have a question…new to Tekken and I've been practicing my KBD. I'm getting the hang of it but wanted to know…when is the best time to use it? Should it only be when I am in neutral? Or it doesn't matter?

    Any time you need space or are looking to make them whif for a big punish. Be careful when getting rushed down you will get hit out of back dash if you're not holding back when the opponent is about to connect.

    KBD is useless if you're new. Fundamentals first: Neutral game, whiff punish, movement (KBD once you need it to get more range, learn your side steps), defense, adapting to the opponent.

    The thing I really respect about him is no matter what Hwo slander there is (which lets be real its mostly justified) you can clearly see his skill jumping off the screen. You 'could' mistake his Hwo for a Korean. The are god rank Hwos out there that cant even JFSR or do any form of advanced movement! Like...how!? Im friends with one. He has a near savant understanding of how to make you interact with him and get blown up. Youve likely played against him. Im proud of him but its weird because like you have to respect the rank...but there's a certain asterisk to it. Its strange. Went on a tangent there...but there's no questioning Speed. He is his own worst enemy and is a pure inspiration. You too Anakin!

    I know a guy like that. He hasn't spent more than five minutes looking at frame data etc. But, his natural talent gets him so much mileage. It's really cool that fighting games reward the players with good "feeling". After a while of me actively learning the game, I eventually surpassed him. It did make me look at how much I can get read, and I think my tendencies are pretty common. People like me will autopilot approaching. While we will maybe fake one or two approaches, if we haven't approached by then, the third one is usually when it will happen. Playing patient and randomizing approaches is tough and kind of boring but it pays huge dividends.

    @acidphoenix9110 Now, to the people that comment like this I will ask...can you do it? Because most people that talk like this cannot. I am a hwo main, and although i dont like a lot of the preferred style of play...i know that a lot of players cannot make it work for them. Im literally witnessing this now with this Hwo player. He was the first in our discord to get TGS and there was a bet that whoever got it, everyone had to pick up that char. Ppl talk heavy trash about the hwo player yet they cant get to Fujin w hwo. These are TK and above players. Not trying to offend. Just smell yourself to make sure you're not one of these guys. And i have content on my channel in case you want to put my play under a microscope.

    @LeiZehn-zs5xn ok, let's make this a real discussion. First... do you even know what means? Korean tekken has a very distinct style of play compared to NA and EU. If you understand what their style of play is known for, it's pretty easy to make the connection imo.
