    I absolutely love watching how these athletes train. The insight into seeing what they're doing, the logic behind them, and the critiques are really great.

    Kyle also walked out to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s theme music for his NCAA finals matches in college. +5 strength perk automatically. While you’re on wrestlers, David Taylor wrestles the weight class below Kyle (86kg) and is insanely strong. David wrestled between 47kg and 61kg in high school and gradually built himself into an absolute behemoth

    I wrestled in college, it's one of the hardest things I've ever done, glad your featuring Kyle. USA has one of the best freestyle wrestled team in the world...unlike our weightlifters :(

    As far as I know Kyle's strength coach is Neil Serafenas. Neil is a throwing coach as well and a particularly polarizing one at that (not saying he's wrong but he can be harsh). From what I understand about Neil's system from what he posts on youtube and his facebook and instagram; is that he doesn't believe in repetitions at all. His tag line btw is drug free strength training. He hates having sore athletes and he wants them as a strong and powerful as possible. He doesn't do a lot of conventional lifts as you can see in Kyle's training and from what I've heard doesn't use any Olympic style lifts. As far as the details of his system I have no idea. He has been talking about releasing the program publicly for years but hasn't yet. I'm sure you could try to get a hold of him on Facebook or Instagram but good luck. He's in his 60's and doesn't post much so I don't know how active he is.

    Can you do JOE KOVACS, He is an American Shot Putter and the second best of all time. He is probably the strongest all around thrower you will see. I love watching your videos great analysis and really funny.

    Love seeing a wrestler being broken down on here...and for the pin squats I think he's trying to mimic the lift on a high crotch, as he was known to just pick up heavyweight wrestlers like that back when he was still in college

    None of those squats looked supermaximal but would there be a training benefit to reversing the order (concentric->eccentric) to reduce fatigue before the expression of force?

    I wonder if the pin press and squat are because I'm wrestling you have to generate that strength from the contracted position. You can rely on the stretch reflex for strength.

    havent ever tried pulling a truck and it always looks super impressive. what would a truck pull be equivalent to a sled pull? obviously all those factors mentioned wud affect it (incline,etc.) but roughly and assuming neutral situations

    Can fatiguing a muscle (or group) with a slow movement followed by a faster one with the same muscle, ex: slow and controlled set of 10+ lat pulldowns followed by explosive weighted pull ups, lead to a higher (or higher percentage) recruitment of fast/faster twitch muscle fibers since the slower once are fatigued?

    interesting how Seb talked about how some Chinese weightlifters treat bodybuilding - looks like some of this philosophy can translate to wrestling training - sometimes it looks like bad form or maybe a bad idea but there is a method to the madness vs. what is theoretically more sound - and there's the mental toughness aspect. Ultimately the proof is in the performance - you can't argue with success.

  • @utkarsh2746

    @utkarsh2746

    It isn't a madness thing so mcuh as isolation vs full body exercises. Think of dumbell curls vs a kettlebell workout. More of a sport-specificity thing.
