Another useful episode, sir., I want to share my personal experiences.. We moved to Austin, Texas from Bloomington, Indiana after my PhD. My kids were doing good in Indiana.. But kids struggled with the Texas curriculum Initially. We sent to Kumon which helped with repetition and reinforcement. But they got bored soon. Now they go to Public Charter School and the curriculum is already designed for gifted and talented kids and it is very challenging... And as always, this school is only with Asian kids mostly Indian and Chinese. There is a bit of peer pressure. I bought the Khan Academy subscription, which gives access to the Khamingo bot. This has been a great tutor for my kids. It can brainstorm with kids on a concept and then test their knowledge. My kids are doing ok but they are not in the gifted and talented program in Texas as in Indiana... So it depends on the state curriculum as well... Anyways, Khan Academy is great, and being aware of peer pressure as a parent, particularly in talented Indian communities like the Austin area is important.

I am surprised that you think Texas public education is good. Unfortunately not. We lived in Katy and recently moved to Chicago and I was surprised about the difference in curriculum. IL is way better!

Every kid is gifted in someway . So Gifted program is renamed as Advanced Academic Program AAP. பள்ளிப்படிப்பு கல்லூரி படிப்பை நோக்கியே இருப்பதும் சாபம் தான். சிறந்த வீடியோ! வாழ்த்துகள்🎉❤

In India, it is not that education system need to change....its about parent's mindset need to change.....Even in US, Indian parents putting peer pressure to their kids.......US is changing like India ....... Long story short, indian education system is the best when compare to US...... I am also living in US for 11 years, this is my view...

A good district will have programs to challenge our kids. Whether you can take advantage of it or not is dependent on the kids.

I am sure this is not something relevant question. But i love to get the answer to this question. Thank you! What would be the best advice for giving for savings for kids? Either buying index funds or 529 plan .

If it is for their education, then 529. Else, Index fund. If the kid is actually earning money, then their income can go into custodial Roth IRA.

Sir you mentioned in your previous video that you have gained 40x by investing in stock market. If you don’t mind, could you provide your asset allocation? Is it mutual fund/ index funds or individual stocks? Because as we hold funds in stock market- it returns get saturated like 10%. Are you still holding it?

It depends on the sport. Not all sports are supported by all schools. Major sports like Tennis, Football, cross country, swimming will be available in almost all high schools. If a kid is interested in a specific sport, it is better to send them out for private coaching and develop their skills.

Cannot compare with the Indian syllabus. It's heavy as well as competitive. Here its diff way of teaching and diff education system. Here most of the Kids learn on their own by doing research and reading diff books
