At my local mexican takeout I would sometimes not order depending on who was working that day. It was so disappointing ordering the same thing and getting almost 1/3 less.

As a chipotle worker, the size and length of the burrito all depends on how they wrap it so yeah there’s a lot of variables

I would’ve been asked to roll this by my other coworkers lol. It’s sad to say I wouldn’t really call this a nightmare of a burrito since I’ve had worse. My worst experience rolling a burrito though would be a TRIPLE wrapped wet burrito with TRIPLE BEANS AND RICE WITH DOUBLE MEAT AND OH LORD DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE SALSA SIDE! Let’s just say it was a WAB and I honestly felt like that customer just wanted to see me struggle. :(

As a chipotle employee the ingredients on the double wrap burrito makes me so stressed lmao also pro tip: guacamole/queso/any salsas/sour cream makes a burrito really really hard to roll but adding cheese on top helps a lotttt and always ask for a double wrap tortilla if you’re gonna get hella ingredients on it. It helps us a lot :)

@@user-ei7ed6zy9k I don't think I have EVER seen a Chipotle ever in the UK and as for Taco Bell I have only ever seen one branch in Manchester city centre the ONLY Fast Food I ever see a lot of branches of are either McDonalds, KFC, Subway or Nando's even Burger King is rare I think I have only ever seen like 3 BK's max in the UK and I am 24 y/o but the other fast food I have mentioned as well as certain Halal fried chicken chains like Dixy chicken which IMO although I haven't looked properly in to it only seem big because they are franchised out to people I literally live within like 3-4 miles of like F'IVE McDonalds and like FOUR KFC's that I know of and there may even be more if I did a bit of googling because I don't go out to to many places BUT as for fried chicken there is a local place that is so nice AND cheap and I really like the spicy burger sauce (its literally a spicy liquidy sauce that is slow cooking in a pot to add to the heat and they dunk fried chicken breasts in to it for the spicy burgers which is really nice) ALSO this place also uses spicy salt on their chips similar to like what Nando's does

I don't live the US or UK n I have never seen a chipotle in my country, yet I enjoy watching this...

As someone who worked at chipotle it all depends on what the person orders not to mention variables such as asking for more, double, less. And we also eyeball the amount of chips we put in each bag. So kind of hard to generally measure things.

I think out of all of these episodes, this one is the one that can't really be taken seriously, because the portion sizes vary so widely from chipotle to chipotle.

as a chipotle employee, i 100% agree. we try to be as accurate as possible, but when you're having to move so fast and with a line out the door, it's impossible to make every order the same. and based on the labels, it looks like they ordered online, and the workers at the take-out station have to move even faster to keep up with orders. so every item is gonna vary based on the person, location, time of day, way of ordering, etc.

9:15 gypsum is traditionally used for tofu for centuries in china and its normal and stilled used for tofu making. It coagulates soymilk so it becomes tofu, it's nothing to be afraid of.

Without even looking it up, I assume it should be pence when expressed in that denomination and a shilling is a coin worth a certain number of pence, just like US currency has nickels, dimes, and quarters. Just an educated guess.

The better question is WHY Mexico, a 3rd world country, uses the MORE EXPENSIVE sweetener than the US does... It does make a difference. HFCS has this almost sickening sweetness, while cane sugar is pleasantly sweet. Neither are good for you, but the way your body metabolizes HFCS is worse. It actually makes you more hungry, which is why McDonalds started injecting their burger buns with it.

​@@nahor88 The US use of HFCS is a side affect of the Carter administration's price fixing on some basic food and stuff like sugar, thinking that would fix their inflation problem. All it did was make sugar less commercially viable. The workaround was HFCS. There were other similar side affects at the time, such as changing all of our meat cuts to avoid price controls on named cuts. We've had other weird things like this going way back. We used to drink tea more than coffee, till some genius raised the tea tax to 3%.

The UK tortilla has more ingredients because they list out everything in the fortified wheat flour. It looks like the US version uses plain flour which is sometimes chosen to make the ingredient list look simpler when in reality the fortified flour just contains more vitamins and minerals.

@@JB-vd8bi I know...but in my defense it was something to try to see how it was different and it was close enough to Space Invader’s Princess Leia piece...I also had to try a royale with cheese at McDonalds just to get my Vincent Vega pulp fiction vibe on...

But in my experience there's variety in the weight of the burrito just depending on who makes it for you, like even at the same location (and I've been to many) you can get a different size for an order you've made many times. So there's less validity in the comparison of these weights.

I work at Chipotle in the USA. It’s all based on the portion and person. A normal portion of meat is 4oz and rice only a scoop full or two for extra. The burrito sizes are based what the person gets in it. I’ve rolled huge burritos & small ones.

I bet your two 500g bowls just maxed your scale. Did they feel similar

I don’t know if they still do it, but in some Chipotles in the US, they’d sell margaritas as well. I sure miss those days

As a manager there, the size and weight comparisons are just dependent on the person serving it lol. Like we have portion sizes but people have heavier or lighter hands.

As someone who works at chipotle, it honestly depends on the person that makes them. Also depends if you're ordering online or in person, typically we give more of everything in person since customers might complain if we give the actual amount we're supposed to. Also just to make the customers happy.

I went to chipotles opening here in Denver Colorado in the US when I was younger cool to see how much it’s expanded. It’s still my favorite!

I work at chipotle, the reason the bowl weighs more is because bowls get 2 scoops of rice while the burrito only gets 1 scoop. The regular chips weigh 4 oz and the large is 6 oz. The plastic cup of gauc is supposed to be 2 oz the large is 4 oz.
