@@mothman8322 In reality, all the dishes from American fastfood chain franchises are expensive to be taken as daily food in India for working class population. A dish per week is doable but Indian dishes are lot cheaper from common Indian restaurants (some exceptions do exist) and even cheaper if you cook yourself which is most of the us do. A foreigner might think that this is very cheap and this is the food habit in India so a comment on price and food habit is good I think.
The way Nikhil (the Indian guy, in case no one is confused) pats the burgers as though he's proud of them satiating his palate is both funny and endearing, especially at 6:57. Made me smile every time he did that.

The thing that was not mentioned in the video is that there are two Mcdonalds in India. North and East zone run by connaught foods and south and west run by Hardcastle foods. The menus for both of them are different meaning each of them have their own exclusives.. I think Nikhil was having the south and west mcdonalds. They have a bigger menu compared to North and East. Indian laws donot allow foreign companies to hold 100% of business in India. They are required to partner up with a local company. so, McDonalds partners with connaught foods and Hardcastle foods Dominos with jubilant foods Yum brands partner with Devyani International, Sapphire Foods and more recently Burman Hospitality Starbucks with TATA coffees. etc. so the local companies do get a say in the menus which is why the menus may be different at different places in India

As someone living in the Philippines dominated by a lot of pork and beef-consuming Filipinos, I really am envious with the plethora of chicken burger options that McDonald's India offer. While our McDonald's items are most likely similar with American McDonald's, the McSpicy isn't a permanent menu option, leaving us only with a Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a McChicken. The rest are beef burgers, some breakfast items, more chicken and rice meals, plus a Spaghetti option (that KFC also offers because they really wanna directly rival Jollibee). That said, I don't understand people who despise Indian food and cuisine just because of the "unhygienic" videos that went viral on Facebook and TikTok - but looking at these items are more acceptable and actually "healthier" than the synthetic, chemically-induced patties that were made in factories. If I would have the chance, I would really try some items in McDonald's India -- especially the Majahara and the Paneer options.

Wtf is a phimi ( im indian )
I think this is the best episode this show can have, because there’s nothing similar on the menus because of Indian culture
When he said water I detected an American accent..i also loved his reaction to the mcegg burger. So honest! ❤❤❤
These videos are so fascinating but make me really hunger lol
Nikhil is a great addition to this show! I love seeing food from all of you guys!❤️

The thing that was not mentioned in the video is that there are two Mcdonalds in India. North and East zone run by connaught foods and south and west run by Hardcastle foods.

But it’s not seen in the same light either, it is seen as an American theme restaurant in countries like this, a fun novelty like Hard a Rock Cafe. Generally it will be a family dinner, not a cheap drive thru option, same goes for KFC that has to take Christmas orders in advance because it is so popular on that day in South East Asia.
They missed the triple cheeseburger, the chicken mcgriddle/chicken biscuit and the steak, egg and cheese bagel. I tried a bite of the steak, egg and cheese bagel for the first time last week. Never had something so greasy. It was ok but would've been better with a larger sausage patty.

This was so interesting! Also gets the coolest packaging too. The fry containers and the cardboard around their Mac burgers to keep them together.
I love these comparisons so much! I don't understand why we don have a few international franchises, we have enough immigrants and people that seek out vegetarian options. I live in San Diego, I love Indian food, I would love to have an Indian McDonald's and the Mexico version as well, because they had so much awesomeness on their menu based off the video you guys made! I think the Japanese McDonald's was good too! It seems like our "American" franchises are done much better internationally! Heck even Costco in Japan had a sushi chef/sushi counter! 😱♥️

It's because McDonalds and other American and non native food places have to compete with already existing food places which are popular in these countries . So they have to get a bit more creative . McDonalds still failed in Vietnam though .

for people who are saying most of the menu is different in Delhi/Kolkata /Chandigarh/other northern cities listen out In India, McDonald's is a joint-venture company managed by two Indians. While Amit Jatia, M.D. Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. owns and spearheads McDonalds in west & south India, McDonald's restaurants in North & East India are owned and managed by Vikram Bakshi's Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited so we have different menus in different regions
