US supreme court presses Trump lawyer over immunity from prosecution claim - audio

US supreme court justices on Thursday questioned a lawyer for Donald Trump about the former president's claim of immunity from prosecution for his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, posing questions about what happens if a president sells nuclear secrets, takes a bribe or orders a coup or assassination.
Trump appealed after lower courts rejected his request to be shielded from four election-related criminal charges on the grounds that he was serving as president when he took the actions that led to the indictment.

Irrespective of what side.a lawyer is representing it is juvenile to make fun of a persons voice and the way they speak. After all to become a lawyer a first requirement is to be above average intelligence. This man is working with one armed tied behind his back having a client like Trump.

Presidents should be exemplars, held to a higher standard of compliance to the laws, not a lesser standard. How else can the president reasonably ask any citizen to comply with the laws of the land? Trump of course would send in his army and his secret police, who would be unaccountable to law.

Is this selective hearing? The entire case from the prosecution felt like it was falling apart and the lawyers rebuttal basically boiled down to "We want to do it because it's Trump". Why is the Guardian completely ignoring the examples and statements questioning if the President should should not be exempt? Those were some pretty powerful examples too which the prosecutors had no answer for. This simply boils down to trying to blame Trump for Jan 6 even though he had nothing to do with it.

Here a case were AI is used as an excuse to discredit an information that is not convenient to an individual. Fact is that multiple independent news sources have posted this audio and it can be downloaded from the Supreme Court homepage. With or without AI the same rules apply to determine a credible source, which this individual could have used, but dismissed to do so just because it was more convenient, also to be able to publish such statement to discredit this source without any proof (only "just because") in the public to others.
