US Navy Testing Deadliest $500 Million Missile-Killing Gatling Gun!

US Navy Testing Deadliest $500 Million Missile-Killing Gatling Gun!
One missile-disintegrating Gatling gun has the attention of the world today - it just saved the lives of an entire crew of US Navy service people. Despite an entire array of defense systems on US Navy ships, if this gun hadn’t done what it did, it could have been catastrophic for the American ship. So what did it do exactly? It all began at the Red Sea.

Ray, a good friend of mine (and a good trpt player), worked on, and tested the Gerneral Dynamics Phalanx system when it was first introduced. He told me he and his crew put the Phalanx on a big flatbed simi and drove it up and down the coast on HWY 1, shooting down drones and other targets.

This idea of a missile killing gun was born during the Falklands War, when the UK realized that NATO warships had no defense against Argentina's Exocet missiles.

The Falklands crisis was in 1982 The Phalanx system the missile killing gun origin idea was "born" 11 years prior to the Falklands crisis. It first tested on a US Navy destroyer the USS King in 1973. But it did not do very well, but it passed and completed all test in 1977 on the USS Bigalow, still 6 years ahead of the Falklands crisis. In 1980 the USS Coral Sea was the first aircraft carrier to be fully equipped with the Phalanx

The phalanx system should have a bigger caliber and should shoot a longer distance . A ship should have 2 , one the caliber they have and one that has a larger caliber . The navy should have small ships that have the finance system , and “ killer eggs ( vary small kill choppers ) to deal with Iran ( and other countries ) speed boats.
