I made a 9 drawer cart out of mine it worked good for about a year and started to fall apart under heavy use but I definitely thought about adding a locker and a side cabinet so stinking cheap it was almost a no brainer! Lol cool setup man glad you like it!!!

I wanted to add the end cabinet to my black 5 drawer cart but didn't want to butcher either one to make it work. So I built a small cart mounted on double-locking casters that the end cabinet nests into and sits at the same height as the 5 drawer. My setup is in my workshop and never moves but I can if I want. Next to that is the 4 drawer cabinet. My suggestion to everyone customizing their setup: upgrade to larger diameter double-locking casters. You will be amazed at how much more stable the setup is and rolling resistance is greatly reduced.

@@RearEngineShop Yea you should add them so you can really move it around easily without no problem and then you have the locking casters to leave it stationary .... I have quite a few ideas for these carts but the thing is that it's not that I out grown the cart I need more storage and long draws for alot that I have...I basically already loaded a cart I could free up space but some items I just prefer to keep them in there blow molded cases which takes up space ....Its nice that Harbor freight makes side lockers even though it's not designed for the cart specifically but they should make them specifically for the cart in the same size dimension so that someone would not half to re modify

A power wheels battery! Ha! I've got one too, though it needs to go. My little ones aren't as little anymore and have pretty much outgrown their vehicle. Nice setup. I've been thinking of getting a side unit for my 5-drawer cart, but I'm really considering going with the 26" tool chest with the top and bottom units, then maybe use the side cabinet if it need it. I don't think I need the 44" cabinets (famous last words)... Those 26" ones ought to be good for my home tool collection and help consolidate things for me.

Bob C I’ve upgraded all the power wheels to motorcycle batteries. They go a lot longer on a charge. Originally I was going to get a 44” box but decided to go the side locker on the cart route. This is my home shop so it’s plenty of room. I have some metal peg board on the wall to organize frequently used tools.

I don't know about you but I don't go to work to spend fifty grand to keep my boss's fleet on the road or his product's warranty repairs completed. Some specialty tools you have to have, or at least the shop does but I'm not too proud to use atd, and harbor freight to remove a bolt.

@@JP-ec9rl One I've noticed is if discussing tools for 14mm/9/16ths" nuts and bolts on up; is that pretty much any brand socket/wrench works just fine. When going especially below 11mm/7/16th", the only name brand I trust is Snap-On; in other words, I see little difference being H-F's Pittsburgh and MAC/Matco/Cornwell, etc. Snap-On line/flare nut wrenches, in those smaller sizes ^^^, do seem to grab better. Now, if discussing Snap-On ratchet wrenches; the old teardrop head models were great, the current oval heads are JUNK. Why I say that is I'be broke several 15mm's and, that was with my using just my two hands pulling on one, no cheater, piple, etc involved. In other words; IF I wanted to go back into the field, not likely due to my age and health, H-F would be my main source, cabinet on down and, IMHO the Pittsburgh line would work for me.

@@piercehawke8021 IDK? I work on tractor trailers. Everything from 8 mm / 5/16 on up to inch plus sizes. I've never personally owned a snap on, mac or matco tool. I very seldom strip or break a fastener. In fact I'm pretty sure the only snap on tools the shop owns is a set of shallow standard impact swivels and an anchor pin press for brake work. My co workers have a variety of brand name hand tools but they also have some off brand stuff as well? If it gets a grip and holds it's structure, that's pretty much all I care about. I've got a twenty dollar Campbell Hosfield cut off tool from walmart that I've been beating on for over ten years in the trucking industry and it still makes good power? A couple of the guys have gone to Air cat and their cut off tools and die grinders are amazingly quiet but there's no performance advantage that I can identify. They were even surprised when they've picked up my 20 dollar Wal-Mart air tools at how much power they make. As far as my impacts go. I seldom use air on anything below the 3/4 drive shop gun. I've got several dewalt impacts and drills for various size requirements. I've still got my 1/2 inch bostitch and dewalt pneumatic guns on hand JIK! One guy has all Milwaukee cordless and they seem to have comparable performance and reliability. To me it's just a matter of preference. One guy who recently moved on, had several cordless snap on tools and they seemed to function just fine but I've used them and the ergonomics did not impress me very much?

Not gonna lie, this is pretty cool but when I ran the numbers, it's way too close to the price of a Husky 46".

My Friends Call Me John yeah, it’s close to the price of a us general 44” box too at retail price. I got the cart during a sale, paid $170ish for it and I had a 20% off coupon I was able to use on the side cabinet.
