The word is balance. I noticed stepping I lose my balance a lot. I noticed I can airmail more consistently with strong foot fwd opposed to left foot fwd in which my slide game is better. I have not found one stance yet and the follow thru in balance is the most important thing to me

My two cents. In any sport you have fundamentals. Stick to those. Master those. Once you have, you can begin to modify them in order to tweak your shots, angles, etc. When I would play billiards I learned hard knocks. Once I started adding formal aspects of aiming, blocking, positioning, my accuracy increased. Both of you have Great points!

We are on the same page. Left foot forward and no step. Tried stepping first and was totally inconsistent. Thanks for the tips.

@@jennifervanderver7735 Why does Steve throw that way, between the legs? You kind of talked about how your throw evolved, but he didn't say anything about his. Has he always thrown that way?

Great question Wendell he has NOT always thrown that way (well sort of) He first started with flipping the bag but at that time the boards he was playing on were super fast and he could never keep the bags on. So because of that changed his stance/throw. He picked it up from others at tourneys after getting his butt beat by their spin.

Steve/Jenn: When you are throwing a bag on a clear board, without any other bags blocking your path, do you focus on the hole, or, do you focus on the spot on the board that you want your bag to land, where the slide begins?. Thanks!

I would think she focuses on cornholing.

Going to be in a local cornhole tournament that will be $160 reward for first place team and my family, who decided to enroll me, my dad, and my brother-in-law into the tournament. They’re good, I’m not so good, sometimes I can get all the bags on the board and other times I’m very inconsistent with the release and placement of the bags on the other board. I’ve realized I’m much better with a slight bend in my knees when I do release the bag.

I nearly got up and started doing The Hookey Pookey.

Me personally have never seen anyone fall down throwing cornhole by stepping. I step and havnt fallen down and neither has anyone that I've played against 😂

We have seen people stumble many times it does happen, doesn't happen alot but it happens. I could name a few names that do it actually. It's not major but it's noticeable. I used to step as well.
