US Brand New $92 Million Massive Helicopter in Action
Welcome back to The Daily Aviation for a feature on the heavy lift USMC CH-53K King Stallion, the newly produced version of it's older brother the CH-53E Super Stallion. The new design adds capability that will keep this aircraft flying for decades to come.

I got to fly the CH53D, almost 1000 hrs in Vietnam, three tours at sea. No Marine ever got a scratch flying behind me, amazing aircraft. Only had two in flight system failures in 1500 hours. Still flying at age 76, would love to fly the CH53 K. Dimmer26 Capt USMC

@@dustchip8060 Thanks to both of you. Damn great to hear Yak still flying at 76. One of my best friends (57) flies but much smaller S76, the military didn't offer him rotor wing so he had to do it a different way.

Sir, it's an honor to know of your service and read a tidbit about your flying. To know you're still flying at the age of 76 is astonishing. I can only hope to live that long. Thank you so very much for your dedicated service in Vietnam.

The rotors look dangerously close to the fuel pipe when refuelling mid-air. Is that an optical illusion?

This thing is a beast. Worked for Sikorsky for 39 years, and now retired 4 1/2 years. Was a great place to work, building some amazing aircraft.

What a waste of money. If it gets hit by a rocket it blows up, just like any other (cheaper) aircraft. Besides, who wants to protect soldiers? They are dumb enough to go fight other men's wars. - That's their fault, not the tax payers.

Military industrial complex in action!
I was Med-vac'd in one of these beasts after being wounded in Vietnam and I am forever grateful to the pilots and crew.
I was a CH-53E crew chief. I have over 2,000 hours in the Super Stallion. I wish I would have gotten a chance to fly on the King Stallion. I love my Sikorsky helicopters!

hi guys. what would we do without these special people who serve and when asked protect us god bless them all.
I love how the KC-130J and the MH-53K are flying together... I got to touch both aircrafts development. :') (damn I'm old)
This is so admirable for my poor country Zambia I wish we had some too.
I have one. I love it.

The King Stallion is such an awsome name, I always think of "Long live the king" when I hear it's name
Thank you for this excellent video.
The last helo I was on when I was in the USMC was a King Stallion and I have to say it truly is a fantastic airframe and one I will never forget the ride back to camp Pendelton from 29 palms when the pilots decided to follow the road, it was a total blast!

I worked on the engines on H-53A,B, and J models and H-3 Helos. If they aren’t leaking, they are out of fluid. Loved most every minute of the job. They are very good airframes and work horses.

LOL yeah we used to get USMC helo support in Okinawa when we did clearances on a couple of our bombing ranges located 40 & 60 mile off island I think one of our guys mentioned to the crew chief it was leaking hydraulic fluid and was told no problem unless it stops.
Most amazing thing about this video was seeing an Osprey flying in the background instead of crashing
الله اكبر لا اله الا الله اشهد ان لا اله الا الله واشهد ان محمد رسول الله
God bless the US Marine Corp and their Super Sea Stallion fleet, from Royal Australian Navy (retired). These guys saved our ass @ Suai (East Timor) 1999. We did not have the heavy lift capability with our Sea King utility helicopter to move shipping containers. Marines turned up with 2 Super Stallions of ,and had the job done before morning tea!. No one does logistics like USA.
I love the US
good target for AA-13 Arrow
Art of war is so lovely!
I live a few miles away from the Sikorsky factory and unlike the blackhawks I can hear these things from inside my house as they fly over on test flights.
I thought those black circle things were oreos for a second 🤣
whatever it is, the new helicopter is still blackhawk no 1
If I had a choice as a Marine I'd much rather use the Sikorsky than the Osprey. The Osprey has too many moving parts and have a hearty history of crashing. Sikorsky has always made outstanding aircraft.
" The helicopter has fourth gen rotor blades that are 10 feet long...." That should say, 10 metres long which is 33 feet. The smallest helicopter has longer blades than "10 feet", unless it's a little home made bug or an R.C. model. Aside from that, this is a super video !! Thank you !

En mi coleccion tengo un Super Stallion de los Marines y es de mis favoritos y físicamente los vi hace unos años luego del paso de un huracan y llegaron a la base de la FAM del aeropuerto de mi ciudad y sin duda son imponentes !!!!
This and the Westland Merlin are probably the two best multi role combat helicopters on earth
Can’t see many other countries landing numerous F-18s at night, round the clock, many times over in many locations all around the world. The cost of reaching that level of strategic power in terms of diplomacy, conflict, technological development and logistical organisation is like what they say of the most important works of art - it’s incalculable, invaluable. There is no country in the world that cannot ultimately appeal to the United States for protection and military assistance when threatened by a neighbouring regime and therefore, because conflict with the United States is not winnable, there can only be one superpower for the foreseeable future. All power to Uncle Sam and the guys out there keeping a close eye!

Amazing aircraft! I do wonder if some of these aircraft are too complex, expensive for mass production, war usage. Brings back memories of playing F22 raptor. Getting frustrated with the mid-air refueling, then using the guns on the tanker. Well I didn't do that again! lol In hindsight I should have expected the result! Being next to an exploding fuel tanker, there's only one outcome. I soo miss that game. But, I guess it's time for DCS.
Sensacional

Thanks to the UK. BAE (British Aerospace) designed and supplies the active inceptors (collective and cyclic), part of the fly-by-wire system. It makes them really easy to fly, freeing up the pilots to concentrate on more important activities.
This is a big helo
It's not going to win any beauty contests and deployment seems to require a lot of unbolting and bolting but that CH-53 can certainly lift a lot!
