Amazing to see the pilot going through all that physical strain inside the cockpit.... Yeah..the F-15 is a big fighter plane....and so wonderfully beautiful !!!!!

so true so as his littel brother the f-16
Just listening to the pilot during those maneuvers is exhausting. Flexing his muscles, grunting, stretching in the seat, all to prevent him from blacking out at those G's. Fighter pilots are true warriors.
When I joined the A.F. back in '82, THIS is the reason why. Never got to fly but damn, I never realized how physically demanding it could be. This is just a demo, unarmed plane with no threat of getting shot down and the pilot still took a beating, imagine in a real combat arena with enemy pilots and AAA crews trying to terminate your flight status... oh man!
These men are real men worthy of the utmost respect and admiration.
I black out 3 times just listening to this unbelievable pilot fight the Gs.
Every once in a while KZread recommends a really good video like this. That's some badass flying in a badass aircraft.
His breathing during the g turns sounds like me trying to remove the oil filter in my car using that weird wrench thing.

Brian F : my son flies a F15 SE. The original F15s are 40 years old. The SE version is the second generation maybe is only 20 years younger. They have the newer stealthy technology and electronics including night vision. The SE also needs two pilots to fly because it is a very complex and challenging plane to fly. Their shape maybe similarly to the original version, but realities are not. It is still the best plane in real life and in the world.

Saw an F-15 demo several years ago. It came down the runway in slow flight, gear and flaps hanging down, then went to full power, sucked everything in, pitched straight up and accelerated vertically --- with ear-splitting noise --- until it was out of sight. This is a truly amazing machine.

+Paul M I never realized until this video how fast the gear goes up. Couple that with two big after burning engines and that must have been quite a rush to see in person. I've had a really nice book about the F-15 for many years and I never read about the gear. I knew all about the time to climb records. They only mention one in this video but there were several. I don't know if they all still stand but there was more than one.

I saw the same thing at Duluth Air Show. He out flew an f-14 f-18 f-16 demo. He must have been THEE best the air force because he left the crowd speechless. High speed turns low speed turns accelerating during climb this is an awesome plane in the care of an awesome crew and pilot. Thank you all.

That vertical acceleration continues a very, very, long, long way up.......a ridiculously capable aircraft. While it can't (yet) turn on its centroid (like F-22), it deserves consideration for the exhaust routing for increased yaw. Air shows in Maryland are more sparse than ever..... Andrews cancelled some in past few years, not sure if Patuxent River Naval Air Station even still sponsors. Martin Airport (Marietta), a few miles as the crow flies is home to the Maryland Air National Guard A-10 squadron..... last time I saw an A-10, we'd parked across road from field surrounding Andrews runway, walked across field. Two A-10's banking and climbing right above us.....it is a beautiful sound, the phase shift that occurs when shifting load to either of their two engines. As far as vertical climb, at least for a decade or more the F-15 was the ONLY plane that could maintain acceleration in vertical climb; it's been at least as far up as U2 and SR-71....... yeah, an F-15 pilot in a mandatory spacesuit.
What an outstanding video on the load of the F-15. Frightening just watching this stuff... man I love this jet!
I was at the same airport, just sixteen years later. I love this jet so much, the engine is sooo awesome.
Good footage , working his arse off!! I miss the USAF ACC F-15 East & West Coast demonstration teams , those were the airshow glory days!! & most recently I miss the ACC F-15E Strike Eagle demo team out of Seymour Johnson AFB , great crew from 2010 !

What a badass plane and pilot.
Many people don't understand one of the amazing things about the F15 is that this platform was designed in the late 50s, first flew in the mid 70s and still remains as the one of the leading air superiority multi-role fighters in the 21st century.
@stryker1999

The design history is interesting. The airframe configuration was originally based on the North American A-5 Vigilante, a big nuke delivery bomber for the NAVY which managed to fly from the big carriers. Russia took that concept because of its efficient design and potential with a big semi-delta wing for a fighter and intercept platform, and MiG came up with the MiG-25 Foxbat. And that scared us a little because it had the "potential" to shoot down an SR-71, though it never came close. We had no idea how well it could tangle with western fighters, but the performance was ridiculous for its day. We scrambled to come up with something a quantum leap better, and McDonnell-Douglas got the nod because the F-4 Phantom was so phenomenal. After some serious head scratching and coffee between MDD and Pratt & Whitney for the engines, they produced the first operational fighter with a better than 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratio, meaning it could essentially fly straight up till it ran out of air. And it had astonishing maneuverability combined with a deadly weapons system - and all this in a fuselage as big as a WWII bomber! It's still one of the deadliest jets flying.

looks easy and mild while watching at the ground but looking at the pilot perspective, it looks so hard, fast and unforgiving. No wonder pilots looks tired as hell when they get out of the cockpit. My admiration towards fighter pilots = level up!

@skogenburzum It's called "positive talk". It's like when you're doing something around the house and you can't get your screwdriver into the screw properly and you say "c'mon, get in there". Same type of thing. Most military pilots verbalize every switch and button they make and every procedure they follow when they're in the seat.
One of my favourite jet waterbirds.watched two flying in sync in duxford.they came out of black clouds to ac/DC's thunderstruck.i cant recall any other time in my life I was in so much awe!
SSGT David Hansell, USAF Doing good work narrating there!
An F15 with no external stores, pylons, tanks must be fun to fly. Probably the only guy in the world to fly it like that.
2.3 seconds is prophetic for my college graduation that was on May 23, 2019 me be being born on 7-3-76! Terrill TC!
cool, vintage video of VHS era, man 2001 it seems was yestarday but so many things changed
Beautiful fighter plane
This pilot did an excellent job. It’s very taxing and dangerous to fly like that. He could loose his consciousness and fall off the sky in seconds in a heartbeat. I had flown most fighter jets around and it had been a roller coaster right all throughout.
I also worked on the powerplant, the f100prat@wit, loved it. Loved to hear the JFS, START THE F100.
its no wonder it took off in less than 2000ft,that f15 is CLEAN, so very light
F15s are insane.!!! Although my all time favorite is the f16.!!!
I never realized how big the 15 is! That thing is a damn school bus, but it's still kicking ass in the sky like an extra 300!
A good friend is a retired Eagle Driver. He was also one of only a couple Flight Surgeons who were also fighter pilots.
Beautiful and guy is a legend
Great video.
Good show. I was at Langley with the 1st TFW when there were onky 6 F15s on base. I worked with guys that worked on the streak eagle. This is a great air to air fighter.

Thanks for this video Bro!I just learned something new, Good job!!!
that was too cool to be cool! poor pilot was hanging on for dear life. "one" really does have to stay in shape too handle all those G's. Great job sir. And thanks for your service to our country.
Beautiful clip about the such impressive bird thanks fo it
My absolute favorite aircraft. I’ll never forget driving eastbound on I-90 in Westfield, as I approached Barnes I heard the unmistakable sound. Then almost out of nowhere an F-15 just about to touch down. I swear if my car was a convertible I could’ve reached up and touched the belly of that bird.
The high-speed climb record still stands today? Very impressive for a 1975 jet. Great view of the cockpit, I never knew the pilot was labouring that much just performing a demo, great job!

@@anthonyleadley.74 No, the records are held by two special-configured aircrafts: the F-15 "Streak Eagle" and the Su 27 "P-42". The Streak Eagle had a thrust-weight ratio of 1.4 at full afterburner. The Lightning is nowhere near this performance.
flies like magic as always
A truly awesome jet fighter!
Very impressive!
That's freaking sweet!
Man I miss flying these birds. Now I am in jumbos, It's like going from a sports car to a grey hound bus. I have to say though, the best time I have had flying was back when I was in the -15.
