US$ 2.35m Pot! Tom Dwan ALL-INs for One of the Biggest Ever Televised Poker Pots

Ойын-сауық

🔱 Tom Dwan has been quietly building up his stack in the Jeju Cash Game and was given a rather good hand with Ace-Queen. However, Paul Phua, who straddled, had lady luck on his side as the Malaysian business tycoon was dealt the pocket Aces. The action resulted in one of the biggest ever televised pots in Poker History.

only newbs or bad players judge a hand or a player based only on one hand. thats one u cant really judge, of course that AQ was lite dwan knows it, but us viewers have no idea of the dynamic of that game. if durr didnt fold that AQ its because theres 440k and it also mean that dwan knows that player to be capable of playing back at him especialy in a straddled pot. we've seen dwan make way harder fold than that. but anyways like u said all that mean nothing cus none of us playing that stake at the end of the day.

Raymond Phillips. With the benefit of seeing cards yes. However the guy (Phua) with AA was the straddler he has an added incentive to steal Dwan was trying to win without showdown. 10s or JJ or anything less Phua might fold and so might AK. AA or Kk is roughly 4% of his range If Phua loves to call all the time and see showdown it is a bad play however it is always good to err on side of aggression which was what Dwan was doing

Not a terrible play given his reputation and that most players are playing this way with a much wider range vs tom as opposed to other players. @@4XLXA Well that shows you have no clue about probability or statistics. The hands you got previously have nothing to do with the next hand you will get, the chances of getting AA is the same whether you got AA the previous hand, or if you got 7 2 off suit the previous hand. BTW if you are going all in because you "feel confident" you will get a good hand, you should probably stop play poker and start playing roulette.

I think it might be time you guys stop believing everything you read online, the facts are he's been playing for years in Macau in games that are, at a minimum 5k/10k and sometimes go as high as 25k/50k and it's well known not just by internet rumors but by actual players that he was the biggest winner in those games the first 2,3 years he was there. Obviously over time I'm sure that group of players has shared some actions but to think he's broke is being completely delusional.
