Eden Project : Urvashi recently volunteered with one of the largest indoor rainforest projects, the EDEN Project at Cornwall. The Eden Project is an educational charity, connecting us with each other and the living world, allowing us to explore how we can work towards a better future.
Strawberry Hill House Restoration & Charity Support : Urvashi, a voluntary team member of the Strawberry Hill House helps out the local community garden and working towards a better environment. Strawberry Hill House helping to restore the community gardens to their original picturesque design. She recently participated in their successful Open Squares Charity Event sale.
She was recently part of an event showcasing “Inspired by Nature” Fashion, recycle and reusable fabrics and adopting responsible fashion lifestyle.
Campaign, #iCareForEarth : Launched by Urvashi, she has managed to spread a lot of awareness, has been recognised and is catching a lot of attention to create a meaningful difference by planting a tree.
She spent the #EarthDay at Somerset House, experiencing performances by world’s leading artists, taking part in workshops, participating in several engaging activities. Urvashi has also successfully inspired Mrs India UK 2018 co-finalists to participate by publicising the Earth Hour and ran a successful drive from the WWF UK.
Urvashi has over the last six months, run several Plantation drives, to inspire everyone in her community and social outreach, to spread the happiness of greenery. She also played a crucial role in the success of another plantation drive run by popular social activists and political parties to plant 100,000 trees in New Delhi, the capital city of India.
Being in the beauty industry, Urvashi promotes use of eco-friendly & animal-testing free cosmetics in her own profession and by her peers. She also offers and actively contributes to the community through free Bridal make-up for community & mass wedding ceremonies to make the occasion memorable for less fortunate couples.
Apart from this, her philanthropical activities involve support to Blind School in India through monthly charity donations.
