Uriah Heep were truly one of the greatest rock bands of all time. A combination of the magnificent David Byron on lead vocals, Ken Hensley, Mick Box, the brilliant Gary Thain on bass, and Lee Kerslake on drums. You sir are a very talented guitarist, great job as always. I remember this song was always a popular one on live concerts, and you absolutely nailed it! RIP Lee Kerslake.

Hi my friend and really appreciate the view and great comment! Yes I also really hated to hear of Lee Kerslake's passing a few days ago. I know his health has been bad for the past several years. Yes that band lineup was the best! All of them so good! Mick Box seems to be keeping the name alive but of course he's the only original member. No idea what Ken Hensley is doing these days. They don't make them like these guys anymore...

I have always loved this Uriah Heep song because of its epic length of 6 or 9 mins and it seems to be a type of magical and mystical rock music.

@@Hallalo I like Heep's vocals much better than Robert Plant. Keyboards much better also. Gary Thain was a very good bassist with his own style.

Hi my friend and sorry for the delayed response. Yes David Byron was such a great singer and showman. It's a shame now all of them have passed except Mick Box who's still out there carrying on the UH name.
