Bustin' Out and Urbz for the GBA/DS are legendary games. They're somewhat connected in story so you should definitely give a playthrough on both even in your spare time.

Some people didn't realise that in the Industrial District, where the Forge minigame was, the button mashing game didn't work properly, so you could press anything and still get the best score.

I remember Urbz so strongly because of the "pyromanic". You see, my brother and I would always notice this weird dude in sunglasses next to fires. Obviously, he was the one causing them so we always shooed him off and put the fires out ourselves. Fast forward to us now in our penthouse, grilling hot dogs for our guests when we caught ourselves on fire. Suddenly the weird dude jumps down from a helicopter, extinguishes us, does a cool pose, then hops back on the helicopter. And that's how we learned that we were constantly chasing off the firefighter. 😅

When this game came out I was a pretty young kid and I thought this was the greatest game ever released. I probably logged more hours on URBZ than Elden ring. Oh the horror.

Ah man I absolutely love The Urbz. Back then I kinda saw it as EA dipping their toes into a more urban style of sims where they're in the city doing cool stuff and out of the suburbs where after a while it gets boring just going to your job with your maxed out skills and the same family over and over again. I remember my 11 year old brain thought that this was how adult life was going to be and how excited I was to have my own apartment and group of friends where we're out late at night and chugging redbull and doing cool stuff. Course the only accurate part of this game was the energy drink addiction I picked up but eh. What a great video. This was such a blast from the past!

Sims 2 was a game about managing a hotel... and in the process you fight off alien invasions, get wrapped up with the mafia, accidentally introduce a cult, and prevent the robot uprising. DS Urbz is... well, everything I said above. They're a time.

The GBA version sums up my childhood. Child-me had absolutely no idea how to play the game and somehow still managed to earn a fuckton of money, basically spent 24/7 renovating my home and cruising through the city with my trusty totally-not-a-harley-davidson motorbike. Good times.

*I fucking loved The Urbz!* I still remember when I won the game the first time around, and the "Let's get it started" music started playing. It was so _deeply_ entertaining in a way that games just aren't today! And I'm not even gonna lie, I honestly think The Urbz made me a more open minded person, because if how it showcased so many wacky places and people. *I love this game.* I should play it again soon!

I like how, instead of implicitly being a god of the sims, these sims explicitly worshiped their interpretations of you.

Years ago, I was a child at the post office with my mom. I found a gameboy cartridge on the ground with no title. Like the outside was completely blank. No sticker, no cover, just cartridge. I took it home and after my mom was convinced that the thing I picked up off the ground was safe for children, I played it. It was the Urbz and that was my first sims game 😭

reminds me of a semi-similar experience i had when i was a kid. ive had two nintendo DSs in the past - both pink, both easily snapped at the hinges, makin em useless. my sibling had another pink one and a red one, both suffered the same snapped-hinge fate. was walking to school one day when i just found a silver DS lying on the ground, AFTER it had been raining. no cartridge, no GBA protective slot thing, and i dont remember if there was an owner's name in the settings. i swear to god, im clumsy as hell and ive dropped that thing a million times, but it still functions FLAWLESSLY. i still use it to this day to play DS and GBA games. it may be cursed, but if it is, then damn, this demon is saving me some repair bills

Loved this game. Me and my cousins laughed so freakin' hard at the one vending machine where if you try and use it while you're in a bad mood it'll pop out some ghost hands and choke you out.

I prefer Bustin' Out, but the Urbz was enjoyable.

"It's not long before the game is crashed and I'm back at the menu" is the real nostalgia.

The DS version was actually pretty entertaining, but it was disappointing that they were so resistant to putting a proper Sims style game on handheld. Would it have really been so hard to replicate a basic version of Sims on DS?? It had a touchscreen FFS.

I think The Sims 3 on 3DS was the closest thing to the actual Sims gameplay on a Nintendo handheld.

I've played VERY LITTLE of this game, but Neon East's theme and rummaging through their trash cans for cool stuff are things that stuck with me. I thank you for bringing this incredible game back to light.

I absolutely loved this game way back when. I almost didn’t even realize it was an actual sims game when I played it. Given, I was also very young at the time.

It really weirded me out at 0:44 how my man had human hands and everything and not just some frog paws.

Literally felt my soul leave my body when I heard the GBA Urbz night time sound in the intro of the video. The only Sims game I’ve played thoroughly.

This game is so lit, it was one of my absolute faves. I also remember reading the Urbz comic on their website long ago. Such good times with this game.

The Sims RPGs are so zanny. They're really underrated. I really like the Griptonite ones on GBA and the Castaway on PSP

I never played this game, but I distinctively remember seeing it on sale and wanting to play it. You never forget a cover with an orange background and a bare chested guy covered in tattoos.

Ah yes... One of the PS2 games I still reach for to play at times. I remember I started my first playthrough in Neon East. It's still one of the best areas in my opinion (Skatetail park is pretty cool too).

Me and my little sister used to love this game so much back when all we had was this and Spiderman on our original Xbox. She would just try and get to the hottub as fast as possible while I would do Mafia RP and hang out at Darius's penthouse and feel epic

I LOVVVEDD this game when I was a kid. I've wanted to revisit it for a loong time, thank you for doing it for me. this was nostalgia at its finest

One of the hardest times I ever laughed was with my friend when we decided to play this. We made the most ghetto character we could, and ended up going to a party that Fergie was at. Our character walked up on Fergie and slapped the shit out of her. We had no idea that was even possible but once we found out we slapped her about 100 times in a row and pissed ourselves when they began to have an actual brawl at the party.

When I bought my used PS2, this was one of the included games. It definitely is one of the games of all time.

This is easily one of my favorite games. I revisit it every few years. My brother and I would play this for hours non-stop in co-op mode. Which in its own right was more tedious than most of this game combined because your social circles wouldn't often mesh. You'd go from the biker's grotto to the richie rich heights and just start fights non-stop. Thanks for making content on these nostalgic classics.

That was my very first sims game, I was 13 which was in 09, played it on my gamecube, loved it, then I got the first sims for my gc lol

I had this game on my ds. I literally had no clue how to play it. I would play the terrible basketball mini game over and over because that’s all I could figure out. Thanks for bringing back that crazy old memory 😂

Definetly remember this one. But my preferred was castaway. That was one of my first wilderness survival games. Truly awesome stuff

There was a PSP Sims game where you played a detective and solved murders that completely broke from the normal Sims formula. Blew my mind when I was younger!

This video was such an amazing blast from the past. I played the Urbz a lot, and it's so cool to see content for it. Your Sims challenge run got me into your channel, really happy to see you make more

I always wished we got a sequel

I literally almost completed this game a few weeks ago when I got my Steam Deck 😂 This is my favorite Sims game ( and Bustin’ Out for the GBA) I don’t understand how the games are SO different between console and hand held 🤔

Love seeing you play these older Sims games. I can only play Sims 4 now as my laptop can't handle 1-3 and I don't have a console. Your commentary and the trip down memory lane is great. I'd love to see more. Someone else mentioned it but Sims Medieval is one of my favorites, if you ever decide to do a playthrough thst would be incredible!

I'd recommend trying to emulate the GBA, DS, and PSP games. Emulating those shouldn't be too hard if you can run Sims 4. Mainly Sims Bustin out on GBA, Urbz on DS, and Sims 2 on GBA, DS, and PSP as they are all different.

Thank you for this video! I knew about the existence of this game back in the day, but never-ever saw even a single pixel of it, even though I was curious at the time. This video reminded me of that curiousity and it took care of it in only 20 seconds!

Thank you for the blast from the past. Reminded me of all the fun I had playing this game when I got it and played on playstation for I am not sure how many hours.

I’ve been thinking about this game a lot the past week for some reason and I’m glad someone finally put out a video about one of my favorite childhood games.

God I remember having the GBA and DS version and the DS version had this weird mini game where you could splice DNA of dinosaurs and you could keep one around as a pet. What a bizarre mess of a game that was on the same token a complete masterpiece.

for as many years as I've played and loved this game, I never knew it had an ending. NOW I gotta finish it.

When you find a channel that manages to manifest the exact kind of videos you wish you had the energy to force upon the world. And the best part is that means you don't have to do it yourself now. I've been laughing and smiling all morning at these videos while avoiding doing my shitty pointless job so thanks for that.

Man this game was what brought the sims to my attention when I was a kid playing it. Another one I remember playing alongside this was the Sims two on Nintendo DS. Thanks for the nostalgia hit amphibian.

There is something very relaxing with your videos. I really enjoy watching them, especially when I feel down. It might sound weird, but I have a condition that makes me have severe migraines that last days (few times a year only, fortunately) and I always come back to your channel when I recover from one. Thank you for you videos

Actually that's fair

I remember being a poor child and reading the game box back-to-front repeatedly because I knew I could never buy this game. My youthful aspirations of potential revelry have been affirmed by this video. I definitely missed out big time. I have no clue why they made this puzzling game, but I'm glad it exists - as a time capsule, if nothing else.

Yoooo, same. I would always sit around Best Buy while my dad looked for stuff and just stare at the videogames boxes, reading them from front to back.

Never played this game but all the logos and audio ques from games and systems hit me hard in my past. (the Sony audio que at the end gave me shivers)

Urbz was the second game I got for the PS2 I shared with my brother and sister. I recall that even at the time I thought it wasn't a very good game, but was super charming and fun nonetheless. And I still listen to some of the songs from the soundtrack on a somewhat regular basis till this day.

I remember this game looking almost too real and being blown away by the graphics

As an “urban person” this Sims was my absolute favorite
