Exploring an Abandoned Mill House - Floor Collapsed Inside
Built 1848 according to date stone.. This colonial house use to belong to the the old paper mill next door. In its later years, It became a rental property. The last person to live in it was 2009. This place is in a great state of decay. From the looks of it, the house was falling apart when it was last rented. The owner most likely did no maintenance to the place. As you can see, its a bit dangerous inside as the living room has a massive hole from the roof leaking. This property is situated in a bad location right next to a busy road. I can see this one falling in the next few years sadly. It is just to far gone now.

Hey Guys, i know I have not been quite active on KZread. As my long time fans know, I explore these places more for photography as I like to capture them in a historical aspect. The video i take is an added bonus I do with my Nikon. I am constantly posting photos on Instagram of places I have visited, including this massive abandoned prison. If you have instagram, follow me

Yay! You’re back!
Last occupant 2009?? I would've thought 1982, judging by the condition... I feel bad for the past tenants, victims of a slum lord! I bet it was once a stunningly beautiful home at one time though, that staircase is gorgeous! Awesome video Steve!

Ha no, I just been absent from KZread. Post daily on Instagram
I lived in this house from the time I was born, 1981, until 2003. My mom had lived there her whole life until then. Both my father and grandfather worked in the paper mill that has since been torn down. It makes me so unbelievably sad to see my childhood home like this. It was such a beautiful house at that time.
Glad you're back man, love your vids, been a while!
Glad to see you back doing videos.
Welcome back Steve! Missed your vids man.
GOOD to see you back Steve ! I enjoy your channel.
Dude I literally use to live in that house back in 2008. My father who passed away in 2018’s name is Dean W and it’s spray painted on the door. I cannot believe that house was livable at one time. We use to skateboard in the paper mill all the time 🤯

I haven't seen you post a video in a real long time! Good to have you back bro!
It's crazy how fast that place has fallen apart. I remember always wanting to explore the mill next door but I couldn't since people were still living in this house! It looked rough even when it was occupied. The only ways I could tell someone was living there were how the porch light was on and some kid's toys in the yard.
Hey great to see a new video! You’re the one who got my family watching abandoned exploration videos. Beautiful old home. Glad you were able to document it before it was completely gone.
So happy to see you back....... you're my favorite explorer!!
Thrilled ur back!! U have been missed!
Am so happy ur back steve. 😚💙✌
This is so sad to see this house looking like that.ugh!! We knew the family that grew up there and it was a beautiful home!!!! Then to be forced to move...and the new buyer with big plans for the house and mill area... never did 'anything'.... and to let it just sit and rot like this.... is beyond SAD. Connie
Great video as always!!
Long time no video... Cool Find Considering the outside didn't let's say look completely destroyed, I'm surprised the inside was as bad as it was.
Good to have a new video from you!
Glad to see a new video. What a great old house, sad to see it rotting! Thanks for sharing
Excellent video! No doubt a beautiful and grand house at one time. Happy to see you post a video, woo hoo!
That place was pretty messed up. From the outside on the end it looked like the whole place was leaning. It could have been my eyesight though. Great to see you with another one.
It's good to see you post a video! I also like the historical aspect of these old places, looks like I'm going to have to start an Instagram account so I can follow you!
Good vid Steve.
Thanks Steve!
Steve's back! 😁
I lived in this house for a few years in 2008. Shame to see it like this.
i loved watching this video footage. keep going ✌
Great video, I bet that house was once a beautiful home. Sad to see such an old building with history left to just rot and decay. What is the name of that music, it goes with the video very well and it's a very haunting sound..

Dang that one looks to be a total rebuild if someone were to fix it up. Lots of structural damage.
What a great exploration! Stay safe, Brother.

Thanks Abandoned Steve welcome back once again I am glad you put up another wonderful enjoyable video about Exploring abandoned mill house it looked really old. and I always enjoyed when you do your videos, I remember when a cat ran right by you and scared the crap out of you when you did that video about the Livingston farm house. and I was always a fan of your page but I became a youtuber much later . thanks for the video and I can't wait to see your next video and God Bless you my friend and you will see the name of my channel after every comment but my first name Wayne to just to let you know and thanks again.

I can’t believe any of it is still standing!! The kitchen floor was iffy at best when I lived there!! I loved living in this house and I was there from 1981- 2003. On the far left above the kitchen, the second floor had a hidden stairwell in one of the bedrooms to a third floor room. I remember it being sealed off and was super creeped out by it when I was little.
I go by this place to work and it's still standing. Barely. The front porch has completely collapsed in on itself, and the bent roof on the right side of the house in the video has caved in. Most of the house is covered in vines and a tree branch is blocking most of the upper floor windows. I'm afraid that it will collapse completely within the next two years. Also, great video!
Please always upload video youtube because i like you video :)
Great to see a new video, Steve! Terrific house. My kind of place. If it were habitable I'd like to sit out on the front porch in the warm weather, especially in the evening.---In the kitchen area I saw one of those enclosed staircases that I like. Looks like it may have gone up to a landing then up further in another direction. I like those "quirky" features.---In this video and other of your videos I've noticed something that seems to be unique to the region where you live: not just thick walls but in the window frame area the wall curves toward the glass. I've never seen that here in Indiana or in houses elsewhere.

That curve is called “rolled revealed”. I grew up in a 1792 stone farmhouse in the town over from this house and we had curved sills like that.
I wonder what an abandoned house like this would look like if it weren't for all the vandals and graffiti artists.

I lived there back in 2008. It was still in meh shape but it was huge
This house is a graveyard, little sections of time/history buried away and more than that the people which people not sure but there are dozens of them in the walls the floors also buried in the filth and darkness of what once was, heres a couple at 1:18-21 look all the way down to the end left side a person standing (perhaps?) then at 1:53 look at the wall upper corner right maybe that's a painting (maybe not) , plus so many more a lot of small facial images very detailed especially that one room upstairs (can't believe you went up there your one brave dude) at 4:40 the floor was loaded. Whatever its just an awesome video is the point thanks!
Looks like the house from Night of the living dead
Nice to see a video again Steve. I have missed your video's, but as always great photo's. :) Oh and were you talking to yourself while climbing up the stairs? I heard at voice 3:58 say step.

Holy Shit, youre not buried in the hill after all!
This is beauty, and I’ll bet the historic aspect is amazing. I know the cost of renovation has got to be quite ridiculous, but I’ll bet the end result would be great. After living in a house of historical value, I have learned to love and appreciate old homes. I would love to know more about the history on this place. Do you have a link ?

I just went by the house today and I put a video on my channel that's just a few hours old, and you can see just how much farther the house has gone. Also, here is a link to some history on it. chestercountyramblings.com/2020/03/08/the-mystery-of-the-rotting-old-country-house-on-dorlan-mill-road-downingtown/
Man Steve your like the Army you do more in 6 minutes than most people do all day ! lol , you get the idea. Plus I love to scan your videos looking for ghost-like things and there (imo) a lot in here , but you got to see this- just pause at 4:34 look straight ahead at the wall left of the window the stain - its a face of a man, I mean not like a pareidolia face like maybe it was a painting ? Cool either way.
Damn Steve. 👍👍👍👍👍😂
Place looks like it's been abandoned for quite a long time. Yet..there was that "Live Laugh Love" stencil on the wall...? I guess graffiti is getting more sophisticated and kind'er. Good to see you post here again
👍💯
I have a suggestion mustang Sally's in Danville
This place may have had people living in it until 2009, but it's obvious that it was decaying long before 2009. It looked like it had been abandoned for 25 to 40 years, not 10. The oven looked 1980s, I wonder if the 1980s is when maintenance was last done on this place? May 6, 2020 12:36 am

@@AbandonedSteve I haven't heard anything about anybody being interested in the ship. The last I heard is some Cruise Line was thinking about buying it up and sailing it but found out how much it was going to cost to fix it cuz it would have to be totally redone and they backed out. This is my opinion but at some point I think it's going to get scrapped.
'Was a nice house at one time...
