Urbex: ABANDONED House ORLANDO Florida

Ойын-сауық

NOW DEMOLISHED
*A viewer from the area just informed me (Dec 2018) that it was abandoned long before 2007 and has since been torn down.
Exploring a badly vandalized abandoned house in Orlando, Florida. The copper thieves really went to town on this one. It appears to have been abandoned since around 2007 according to a couple of dates I was able to find, one on a bill and the other a magazine. Unfortunately, there were no calendars left behind that I was able to find which are a better source. Thanks for watching!

That girl's room at the end made me quite sad. It's easy to forget that people used to live in these places when the vandalism pretty much smacks you in the face. I find it heartbreaking.

I love watching these videos! I live in a town in North Carolina with quite a few abandoned houses, most of which have been condemned. I actually live across from one that has been completely taken back by nature, and there's another down the street with an old car out front, it's been like that since I moved in back in 2005!

I share your fascination with abandoned buildings. (I love walking old cemeteries as well. Vacant bodies maybe?) The housing situation in the US makes me worry, sometimes weep and, sometimes, sick to my stomach. There are over 14,200,000 vacant homes in the US with over 2.5 MILLION homeless people! I know most of the buildings you investigate are obviously unlivable but others are in need of just a little TLC. You'd think society would have worked out this problem somehow by now. Having millions of empty houses going derelict while complaining about millions living on the street can't be be good for society, for politicians or even the investor class. I enjoy your videos very much and subbed you. Thank you.

***** I'm skeptical of your 70% figure. Yes, a fair percentage of homeless people are mentally ill, but a lot of homeless people these days are homeless because they fell on hard times and couldn't pay the mortgage and/or property taxes, not because they're mentally ill or choose to be homeless.

I love your videos from FL because I am a true Floridian. This time I think it was just a Grasshopper. However, be careful where you step down here. We have other things that rattle and some things that hiss and some other things that buzz. These things are not so good for your health! You may consider a trip to White Springs off I-75 and I-10. Very old town with a very interesting abandoned spring house. Many other old buildings as well. Lots of history.

If the house was abandoned any time before 2006, all the band/musician writings on the wall would be vandalism. Jeffree Star was a name I recognized and he was only a musician from 2006-2013. This room was probably very cute with all the pink handprints and such in its day. I love these videos, they’re the only thing that got me through my senior year! Thank you!

Not sure if that rattle was a Cicada ( If they even have them in Florida) or something else. Either way, I love how you laugh in the face of fear ;p Another very awesome explore video, Pam! It's always so strange when you find a house that appears to have been twice abandoned - first by the owner and then by someone who came in and started to restore it.

This makes me think of my husband as a little kid. He grew up in Orlando and moved several times. It would be sad to know a house he once lived in is abandoned or destroyed, although that is very likely. I am used to growing up in the same house and knowing it will never be abandoned.

Great video,I'm from Florida Tampa area and from looks of it, it seems that house was build around late 70's early 80's. more likely it was a foreclosure and and the family moved out. It seems a investor try to fix it up but look like he or she must of ram out of money or something and didn't finish it. Cooper theft is very big here in Florida. Shame to see a nice house like that all mess up

Just think of this; if someone had moved in before the vandals took everything, had the utilities connected, paid the annual property taxes, maintained the property and made any needed repairs or improvements, they would have owned the place this year under florida's adverse possession laws.

"Orlando" is rather vague, but then Disney claims to be in Orlando, which is isn't. I haven't seen a anything this bad in the busier parts, but we still have a lot of decent houses that are empty. Funny thing is that banks take the homes and then they let them sit and practically self demolish themselves or owners abandon all responsibility for their properties. It's sad. So if just for this awareness, I appreciate your videos. Of course I am also curious like you and love to clean out homes of stuff left behind.... kind of like finding treasure :)
