I actually use the vitamin c serum cause I have melasma and it does lighten up the skin. But I don't use all the products. Using the products to target your issues and not be excessive and use all they have is important to maintain your issues without irritation. She's right they're strong.

I just started it and I’m impressed but I’ll give it about three months before I conclude if it works. I’m also taking accumax and once monthly microneedling(this is the first month). I will say though, I tried Curology and that worked BUT I thought I’d give urban Rx a try since it’s more comprehensive skincare. If this does not work then I will get a reve peel done and go back to curology (and use accumax for maintenance).

The way I used the cleansing bar is two maybe three times a week. I then follow- up with Ambi fade cream and that’s it nothing more. My skin is clear now so I have gone back to Noxema cold cream to wash my face along with Ambi dark spot fade cream

My scaring was bad from acne picking so I used the cleaning bar 1x a day got a month and my face dramatically changed

I have sensitive skin and tried the even tone serum. Did my patch test. Hoping it works for my textured skin.

Thank you for the lovely compliment and you are very welcome. Give it a try, they are great products but just becareful of using them for long periods of time. It's best to take a break every once inawhile. Everyone's skin is different as well so your skin may react really well to it.

I have sensitive skin and I love their clear skin cleansing bar. I do like that it exfoliates and I always felt that in comparison to other skincare products it was actually “doing something” but I’ve only ever used that and recently, their moisturizer with SPF. I have tried the pads and I agree they are too strong. I would only use them if I noticed a blemish but now I’m wondering if it was even necessary. What skincare products do you use now ??

Hi. Thank you for your comment. I agree with you 💯. Their products are strong but really work. I tried their pads but didn't care too much for it. I didn't find that it did much for my skin and too many strong products can cause irritation so I just stick to their cleansing bars, their day and night treatment, serums and moisturizers. I recently took a break from using the brand but went back to it. From time to time I take a break and move on to other products. I also use Drunk Elephant or the Ordinary products which are also great products for clear skin. Those are my three go to lines. Drunk Elephant is on the pricey side but you see results fast and while the Ordinary is very affordable, results will show over time but they all work great.

I’ve been using their products since the end of 2020. I have very oily skin, especially my t-zone area. In the beginning the cleanse bar really worked and I liked the results, however as of lately I think something has changed with their cleansing bar or maybe it’s too abrasive(the sponge) because I’ve noticed my face is beginning to look very dry and rough. I plan to discontinue using their products which I stopped using the serum last year because it was burning my face. I definitely agree with you! I believe they have too much acid in their products. I’m currently looking for products that are less harsh on my skin.

You are absolutely correct. Their products work great but after while it gets to be too much for the skin. Definitely a good idea to take a break. I've switched to using a milder cleanser, 1 acid serum, retinol, spf and moisturizer and that has worked amazing for my skin. I've realized that using less products is more than enough.

I was using the cleansing bar but I found that I didn't get any results when it came to clearing my dark spots. It also dried my face out but I do use the enzyme mask and that's the only product I really care for out of the entire line. The sad part about the line is that the cofounder who is a black woman is no longer a part of the company but a white woman is and that may be the reason for the very harsh products.

Some of these products do work for some and not for others for sure. I also do think they changed the products over the years due to the change in the co-founder. I found that when using their products, I did have to make sure I had a good moisturizer on hand as it can make your skin feel dry especially after using the cleansing bars. I also found other lines that work great to clear darks marks as well. The Ordinary is another great and effective line to help clear skin and you see results quite quickly as well. @@ViewzbyTrey there's a lot of mixed reviews out there but I noticed that the cleansing bar left dry dark patches under my eye even when I used a really good moisturizer. I'm gonna go back to the farmacy products from Sephora and I didn't like the ordinary.

@@keoshahenry definitely hard to go by reviews as they are always mixed. It's alot of trial and error, and I always use reviews as a guide and then try things out for myself to see how it reacts to my skin as it's not a one size fits all. Always best to go with what works for you. I only use a few products from the ordinary as I find that sometimes you have to mix it up to get the results you want and need. Hopefully you found something that works for you.

It actually worked for my skin but now randomly I’m experiencing a bit of burning on my skin. I’m wondering is it because I didn’t use any sunscreen. I want to continue to use it but first I need to understand why it’s starting to burn my skin and make it feel burnt…. I wash with the blue soap , then I have the dark spot treatment rapid repair , I also have the Sun screen but haven’t used. Any advice?

Oh no....sorry to hear that. Please take a break from the products until you skin gets better. I have heard and read that some people do experience burning. These products are very strong with high grade ingredients so sunscreen is also a must everyday when using them. Out of all of the skincare we use, sunscreen is the most important. Scale back a little bit on the products until your skin repairs itself and then you can incorporate it back in your routine again slowly and that should help. Looooove BLK Girl Sunscreen as well. Including the matte formula.

I can’t use any of their cleansing bars because they all contain coconut oil 🥴 Coconut oil is terrible for acne prone skin but some people can tolerate it.

@@ViewzbyTrey Yeah I saw that the cleansing bar gave a lot of people chemical burns.. It’s unfortunate that a brand geared toward skin color isn’t safe for skin of color. Glad you stopped! Brands often do shady things like pay for positive reviews or even use VPNs to right their own which is why I always look at the negative reviews first because they always tell the truth!

I started it and fir the past couple of days my forehead got some red pimples like plurging. So I’m going to stick to my Cerave and this because Urban Skin Rx brand is mainly exfoliaters

Yes, that's exactly what's happening. Because these products are powerful, your skin will go through a purge stage. Definitely best to stick with it for awhile until your skin gets used to it. Your skin should settle after about 2 weeks. I use these products in conjunction with another cleanser as well. I use the even tone cleanser at night only and a different cleanser in the day.

I’ve been using this product for 4 days & I am experiencing peeling. Is this normal? I’m also breaking out more. I reduced the use of the dark spot treatment to once a day at night & I use the cleansing bar, even tone super glow serum & sunscreen in the morning.

I have heard that some people have experienced peeling and that is because of all o fthe active ingredients that are working together. All of the products might be a bit too much for your skin at the moment. I would scale it back a bit and I think the dark spot teatment is the cause of the peeling as its one of the most powerful products that they have. If the peeling doesnt stop trying using it once or twice a week instead until your skin gets really used to it. As for the breakouts, your skin is probably purging. If it doesn't stop after about 2-3 weeks, I would discontinue use of the products as they may be too harsh for your skin. I hope that helps.

The products actually work for me but I stopped using it about 2 weeks ago when I noticed their products bleached my duvet cover and grey robe 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ it did work for my skin and my acne scaring were clearing off but I don’t think that can be good for my face

Oh no, im sorry that happened and I agree, the products do work wonders, but I don't think it's good to use them long term and because the ingredients are so powerful, using the entire line together can be damaging to the skin as well. I now only use their cleansing bar.

Are you speaking of the cleansing bars? They recently came out with a mild version of the even tone cleansing bar in a liquid cleansing gel formula.
