Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you my first stop travelling in New York City! I strolled around Central Park and finally sat down at Sheep's Meadow to sketch this oasis in front of all the glassy skyscrapers. Please watch the video until the end to see my full process drawing and painting.

- Sailor's fude fountain pen
- Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
- Mungyo watercolors
- Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

Thank you so much for sharing this awesome sketch Becky👌
Very nice 👍
Beautiful 🥰
Loved your video. Your treatment of trees really is so instructive.
Beautiful! Well done!
Your explanations as you draw and paint are so valuable. The deeper values in combination with lighter sections transform the scene. Thank you for sharing. I love your results here, and I’m looking ahead to see where in NYC you went next. 😊
Fantastic sketch Becky. It's like I'm back there with you. x
Hi Becky, I notice how your watercolor work has become more clear and crisp as time goes by. Just love how you created the contrast and shading of the trees and lawn. Everything is so fresh. Thank you!

Thank you for your appreciation ☺️
YAY I've been waiting to see videos from your trip to NYC! Love hearing a little bit about your first visit to NY and seeing your beautiful sketch of Central Park. So inspiring ... makes me want to go back to NY for a visit!
Beautiful!!! Reproduced very well the atmosphere of Central arc!
Thank you Becky, I learned one big lesson today. When you started drawing I was not expecting that you would ‘zoom in’ so much on the trees and when you did that I realised why I can never find these great scenes when I’m out. You don’t paint it literally, you will compose it the way you want it. If I had sat next to you to paint this the lower 2/3 of the painting would have been the somewhat boring grass. The way you composed it, the trees were much closer and took a strong position which gave more room for the sky scrapers end enough Tom for the people and grass without it looking boring. You always teach me something ❤️

Thank you 😊 I’m so happy you found this video helpful. Yes, you got it, we can compose with more freedom than just copying what’s in the front.
I can’t believe you are in my city. Welcome. Wish I could have met you
Oooooh I love this so much- you really captured the essence of Central Park!! ❤
Beautiful drawing! I always love your color combinations.

Thank you Mickey! 🥰
When we went to Canada this summer, Toronto and Montreal, we felt like Toronto had a NYC vibe. And yes, Canadian trains are fast!! Wish we had that here where I live.
I really enjoy watching you create. Can you tell me what kind of tripod you are using filming while you are sketching. I’m planning a trip soon and need something like this.
