Sketching Simple Joys: Turning Cafe Moments into Art | Ink & Watercolor Sketchbook Session
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you my quick one hour stay at a cafe in Langley while running an errand. I sketched my cake and latte, two people beside me, and the springtime view outside the window. Please watch the video until the end for my full process composing this sketchbook page using pen and watercolors.
🎨 Materials I used:
- Sailor's fude fountain pens
- Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
- Mungyo watercolors
- Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

This is how I want to enjoy drawing This is the most important to capture the moments of ours days Thank you
Thanks to you!!! I watched at lunch time... 😊... Gracias por la compañía!!
Ooooh! Love the cherry tree in the background! It certainly POPS! Thanks again for sharing, Becky! :D
Your daily sketch journal has inspired me to start one of my own. I especially enjoy your dialogue describing your color mixes and use of shadows. I keep a small pencil sketch book in my purse and draw whatever I see, often when drawing people, I pretend to be looking somewhere else, lol. The faces you draw are so expressive, hopefully I will improve my skill.
I just love all of the shading, tones and values in this one. The clouds look great! Thank you!
Amazing how imperfect lines are sooo perfect. ART is a feeling, not a talent. Love your new video❤
I could watch you draw all day long. I never seem to get tired of seeing you draw, and I also love your dialog. I'm playing catch-up in class since I've been sick the past 2 weeks. I also love how you can do perspective so easily and perfectly! I am always amazed at your ability to do such pretty drawings every time! You are such an inspiration. God Bless

Thank you so much, Lois! 😀
Hi Becky, I’m still enjoying your videos. Trying a few more attempts with people, and getting my lines quickly drawn to still look ok. I’m happy to follow you on your happy journaling 😊
🌷💜✨🌿🌷
I love how you did the clouds! (I struggle with them!)

Thank you, Rowena! ☺️ Be bold, and less fumbling is always better than trying to paint too many layers. 😛
Hi. I always enjoy your videos and like the ink colour you chose. Is your ink waterproof/permanent and where do you buy it? I find that Opus does not have a very good selection of inks. The Lamy pen I just bought does not have permanent ink so it smudges quite a lot, when I do sketches.

The ink is Noodler's brown #41 and I bought it on Amazon.
Do you ever sketch from photos?

Yes, when I do commission work for far away places, and when I'm teaching sketch classes online.
