Urban flow on 5x80 in sunny Torino

Спорт

Slow-paced flow and a bit of fast-pace downhill on a sunny morning in Torino (Italy) on my 5x80 setup, which felt surprisingly good despite the small wheels.
Places like Via Roma, Galleria San Federico, Piazza Castello, Piazzale Valdo Fusi, Murazzi del Po and Parco del Valentino appear in the video throughout this relaxed urban skate session. Enjoy!

Cool downhill in the end! Finally that what's such frames are made for.

Well, it's not exactly what they were made for. I think they are still designed more for Wizard skating (considering the shape of the rocker), but with that length they do feel perfectly in place also down a hill 🙂

@@NazarOnWheels yeah, I'm probably a little bit oldschool in my thinking about what different set-ups are made for:)

@@NikZvi Probably yes :) These subtle rockers are a relatively new thing compared to long frames, and they do miracles :)

Nice flow! Yes, I love my 5x80. They are so agil and stable at the same time. All the other setups are getting some dust at the moment.😅

Luckily I have my 4x100 on another boot. So when I want a bit more wind blowing in my face, I go with those. But now I tend to fall back after some jumps on 4x100. This length of 5x80 made me too relaxed 😅 So keep an eye on that 😉

Loving the vibe of this video! I'm starting out my channel, and I'm learning a lot from your editing style as well. Thinking of snagging the dragon frames now while I wait for my Wizard boot D; Keep it up!!

For 10-20km mixed urban and non-urban skating would you recommend 4x100-110 or 5x80 like you have? I like to mix up the urban and long distance skating to not get bored, but doubting about what frame to upgrade to. Speed is not that important to me, but fun is :)

I also come from nn 4x100. My city has a lot of bad pawement and hills. Im looking for something more easy to control and agile but still able to be stable on hills. This 5x80 looks like it can handle cracks around the city. Is it more easy to control than 4x100?

It’s much easier to control due to the smaller wheel size. But if you’re coming from a flat 4x100 setup, I strongly recommend you a rockered 4x100 for urban skating, unless you want to go deep into Wizard-skating tricks. Big wheels roll noticeably faster on rough streets.

What was the last park area bit by river? Can you suggest any piazza or smooth path for a day out there?
