    Glad to see you back on an Urban Arrow! I bought one in 2021 basically based on your BikeShopGirl content and have really been enjoying riding with my kids! So, thanks for all you’ve done over the years and looking forward to your new projects!

    Love it :) I really want to live the cargo bike life here in Singapore but the laws on e-bikes are so strict here with max weight limit of 20kg. It is impossible to ride an ecargobike.

    Yeah... imagine doing parcel deliveries using cargo bikes. That'd be so cool. Even on a small island like ours in Penang, no one ever gives this a chance. :(

    Love this behind the scenes vid. Great setup but then you know your stuff. This is the kind of content needed to get others out of their SUV seats and onto avery comfortable ride. Plus, you park at the front door of almost everywhere!

    What about for yourself as the "pilot" of this impressive ship? My preference and especially for my soon to arrive new e-bike is for a good big bike poncho. E-bike assist will completely take care of any headwind resistance. It covers everything including over the handlebars and is easy on and easy off. Although as I'm writing this, possibly more restrictive accessing children in the front area? 🤔 But in every other way I think they are very convenient and versatile.

    @@tconnolly9820 it depends on the temperature. My goto biking rain jacket is from Cleverhood Anorak: cleverhood.com/products/rover-anorak If it’s warm, I typical have a quick dry short (running or hiking) If it’s cold, I wear showers pass rain pants: showerspass.com/collections/mens-pants Or Patagonia’s rain pants I bought on sale at REI: www.patagonia.com/product/mens-torrentshell-3l-rain-pants-short/85261.html I find with good fenders and that jacket that I’m covered for most normal rains

    Hi! We’re awaiting delivery of our Urban Arrow and I’m getting excited and looking into the essential accessories for a family. We love the sticker on your bike, and have found it on Etsy. My 4yo is thrilled that we could colour it ourselves! What kinds of markers did you use?

    I really like the front-loader/bakfiets style cargo bikes, but my only hangup was how to trailer it for family vacations. I haven't seen anything online about how you transport these with a car. Ideas?

  • @BikeShopGirl

    @BikeShopGirl

    Ай бұрын

    Ours fits in the minivan. Others have transported by small trailer. It would need to be the perfect destination to want to ride in an unknown place as they don’t handle curbs/sharp turns when lost very well :)

    What helmets do your kids wear? I see the Woom one in the pannier but what's the one on your son's head? I bought my toddlers some off Amazon but they are just not working. I cannot get the fit right. I'm constantly fiddling with the helmets but seems like they always slide backwards too far (exposing their whole foreheads).

    At the toddler age, they wore mostly Kali Chakra Child. We have Woom helmets but they don’t always like them, I prefer how much coverage and ventilation they get. In that video my son is wearing a Bontrager Tyro which he likes but it isn’t always as snug as I would like depending on the hair cut.

    Hi Arleigh. What is your set up to run maintenance on the rear wheel/tubes/brakes? My biggest peeve with my UA family is how hard it is to lift the rear of the bike up for maintenance. Thanks! Cool pedals!

  • @BikeShopGirl

    @BikeShopGirl

    I put the rear of the bike in a stand :) I’ve also locked the front wheel and then weighted down the front of the bike relying on the center kickstand. I’ll work on a video soon as I need new brake pads!

    The one problem with bakfeits is they are from home only bikes. They do not transport easy. Still, can be very useful, possibly the answer to the Costco question.

    Yes and no :) It goes well in a minivan, and these are car replacements so you shouldn’t need to move it around often except for vacation and maintenance.
