For those who don't know Yoshiki Takei was a p4p elite kickboxing world champion. He switched to boxing and this is just his 9th professional fight and now he is a boxing world champion. He achieved something great, becoming world champion in two different martial arts.

For those that don't know, Ohashi brought Inoue over to spar Takei for 10 rounds, 4 weeks before the Moloney fight loooool. Takei said that it was the worst beating he's ever had as a fighter and it was so bad, it practically prepared him for that 12th round against Moloney. Inoue wasn't allowed to throw big punches so it was mostly light punches but it felt more like torture. Inoue encouraged Takei while beating his ass up, telling him to throw punches back or else the fight would be called (in a situation like that). Takei thanked Inoue for whooping on his ass looool.

That’s the problem when pressure fighters face heavy handed southpaws. For example, Alejandro Santiago and Argi Cortes are both agressive pressure fighters but showed none of that against Nakatani because they are worried about the counters and Nakatani is also very good with measuring distance. This also applies with Takei who I see as a harder puncher than Nakatani.

Jason you left it to late, if you wish to continue and gain success you need to dramatically change your style. Start learning and train on continuously throwing sharp fluid combinations punches from different angles, don't need to load each punch up just throw sharp combos to break them down until the opportunity comes then put them away best defence is offence if it goes to the cards you'll get the nod because of the volume of punches thrown and landed. Study how a young Thomas Hearns threw his Dangerous fluid combos placing his body behind each shot, also how Pacman continuously threw combos until he broke down his opponent's , combine the two styles. You cannot gain success at the top with your style of fighting not enough pressure and volume of punches.

@@markmooroolbark252 if you know the Japanese guys back story, he isnt a boxer and really hasnt had that many fights, he wasnt in La La land as you call it, it was simple fatigue, which will improve the more fights he has, Moloney couldnt even make one count then :)

Called it. Takei was going to take down Moloney and for the first time in the history of boxing, we're going to see a weight division consist of only Japanese world champions. Naoya Inoue made the bold prediction that the lower weight division are dominated by the Japanese and this morning it became a reality.

Jason you also need to tidy up on your stance and the way you throw punches you got really untidy during the fight you need to be in a strong disciplined stance throughout the fight. Study Inoue style always in a strong disciplined stance ready to throw sharp combos off at any angle.
