Highlights text, plus make any symbol in the margins, even for some imp facts write down on the margins..so that you don't have to read everything again and again. Sometimes we tend to only go through and read them.. try to study attentively. Learn most of the things while taking small small break in between reading...use sticky notes where ever needed..... revision takes time initially. But time will reduce gradually. Hope it helps all the best.

That's ambitious... starting early will give you advantage but I think first you do your graduation. Simultaneously do basics if you really want to start.. build a habit of newspaper reading and NCERTs for basics. All the best

I think it's too early to join any batch for UPSC coaching. Try to understand the exam first while doing basics..then after that you can switch to static books for subjects like polity , history. Also if you like reading then I would like to suggest you to during your college time try to read different types of novels and books of good authors which will help you to broaden your thoughts which eventually gonna help . In your last year of graduation you can start preparing for UPSC seriously i think that will be a good strategy.
