By giving him a boring winning streak, teaming him up with a guy that's gonna be paralyzed before he's 35, and having his last match be against the young cucks? Yeah, I wouldn't consider that "doing Sting right." 😂

All the guy does is do right by the wrestlers he employs and people just hate the guy because; 1. They're disturbingly loyal to the WWE brand almost to cult like proportions. 2. Jim Cornette tells them they should and they hang on his every word to disturbingly cult like proportions. 3. They're jealous. @JamieJonesanimator hilarious how you describe WWE fans as "cult like" when most of them probably aren't even aware that AEW even exists lmao. If anything, it's AEW fans that are cult like with how quick they are to shut down any sort of criticism of AEW that comes up.

It's a tradition to put over a young guy on your way out, which usually is the opponent. In this sting's case that young guy was Darby who teamed with him instead and Sting put him over by winning the match.

Damn i throw some tears with that last Sting match, i'm so happy for him that he made it on his own terms and he do it with style. Not every wrestler acomplish so much and finish with that kind of match, i'm sad because it's end of his story but happy for him. It was you who brought me to the world of wrestling, thank you Sting 🦂🦂🦂

Ups and Downs is, in my opinion, the best wrestling review show on KZread. Simon, you're absolutely fantastic! To get to the main topic, I didn't get to watch the show, but watching this was the next best thing. One of my favorite memories of Sting was the first time he descended from the rafters and ran amok on the nWo. That one really sticks out to me. Another is right after he won the belt from Hogan and the very next night had to relinquish it. The man had not spoken in over a year on camera, and he gives JJ Dillon the belt (due to nWo shenanigans) and tells him "You got no guts." Brief but poignant.

My girlfriend and I eventually gave up trying to pretend that we weren't both tearing up watching the end of Sting's career. Say what you want about AEW, they let a legend go out in the most emotional way possible and that's beautiful. Thank you Sting, thank you AEW, thank you Simon.

I just wish Sting got his retirement at Wembley in front of 70,000 screaming (and probably crying) fans. But I'm so happy he went out on his own terms to erase the memory of that damn Mania match. This was amazing!!

I got to be there live and it was amazing, and then getting to hear the ups and downs was great too. I popped so hard for Seek & Destroy, and thankfully Darby only needed 12 stitches.
