Amazing! I had a spinal cord tumor from C4 to T6 and was told I'd never walk again. Yet here I am, walking! And now I'm a nurse that gets to help take care of others in need. I have to use an AFO or a Bioness, but I get the job done. Best of luck to you!

I had an abscess on C4 it's now plated and pinned. It's been almost a year. Self rehabbing at a local pool when I can get there. Medicaid won't pay for Physical Therapy.

Someone in my life who is extremely dear to me has recently been struck down by an SCI. The suddenness of it all shakes you to the core. He - like Aaron is staying positive and is truly the most wonderful person I know. I hope a cure can be found. Our lives are just not the same. As time goes on, on another level, I'm hoping this will make us all appreciate life more and and enhance our lives in some way.

Just had my 20th anniversary of my double spine surgery. The fusion didn't take so they did a second surgery while I was under. Putting titanium rods on both sides of my spine. It wasn't until after the fusion failure did the surgeons realize it was a defect, as to why I'd been in such pain since my first 1979 injury to it. If I had an inversion table available then? But as long as I can get to my table several times a day to reverse gravity I'm doing really well. Thanks for this and the other comments. Once I got over 50 and began having a lot of loss, I'd never felt so alone. So hearing these stories really help with that feeling. Like I'm the only one and everyone else is normal. As weird as that probably sounds.

I learned how to poop again, that’s not a joke. I crushed six vertebrae total, four in my thoracic and two in my lumbar. The things we take for granted… like our morning dumps are what make for a great day. Fight to poo! 😂😊 I’m ok with being a cyborg, the boss man calls me lieutenant Dan. 😁 never stop living ❤ and remember to smile because it’s a beautiful day. Harness Happiness despite odds.

I'm optimistic because of his story I had an aunt was a quadriplegic for 50 years of her life. I just believe there is too many evil greedy people on this planet who will never solve spinal injuries because there is way too much money in round the clock nursing wheel chair sales pt facilities etc. I mean you would think they would allow stem cell therapy like have in Columbia Mexico and Europe to try to regrow and repair damaged spinal cords and even brains but nope these people are left to suffer.
