I did a similar change to the grips on my MC P35. Totally worth it.

I got a set of the more molded shaped walnut grips with full checkering included with my gun, and quite like them. They also had a little play but i snugged them a bit tighter without stripping anything and they stay tight now. I also removed the magazine interlock and that really made the trigger much nicer. As far as i know these are 100% parts compatible Hi Powers, not just similar but exact copies, much like the dozens of 1911s on the market not made by Colt.

Suds n Guns. Mike, you need a Belgian style beer to go with that Belgian style P35. I have the beer but not the P35, though I've been looking at those as well. The grips look great!

Items (mags, grips)listed for Springfield SA 35 also fit the MC P35.

Mine came with a mec gar mag

i carry a PI model with the shorter barrel and i love it. I carry it owb in a paddle lock holster and throw a shirt or hoodie over it. My holster has room for the longer model so i'm only saving a bit of weight i guess but i like it. I removed the mag interlock on mine and made the trigger much better. Match and OPS models have this done already, or it takes about 5 min and two sizes of punch.

@@gunsandsilver probably about 600 so far. I have been buying 2x 50rd boxes of a different brand each time. No failures so far. FMJ, JHP, flat point, regular pressure, +p, steel, brass, eats it all so far. I removed the mag interlock after 100 rds. Definitely worth the 5-10min it took. Trigger is smooth as butter and breaks below 4lbs.
