    The sights may be set up for 124gr nato spec considering it was manufactured in Turkey. 115 gr will generally shoot low especially if the sights are regulated for heavier bullet.

    Some "shifting" is typical for a BHP, it is because there is a transfer bar in the slide between the trigger and the sear so any play in between the rails and the slide has to be taken up as trigger creep. You would probably really like the BHP Pachmayer signature grips that have a checkered front panel.

    Another thought to add: I'd dare say this is a great alternative to 2011s, as it has all the bells and whistles as one and yet has many features that's been around for a long time. I might bump this up my "to purchase" list above 2011s given your review. Lastly, my Girsan 1911 seems to be slighly low, and while I recognize part of the problem is my flinch/anticipation, the other part (I think) is that it was made for combat hold vs 6 o'clock hold. Maybe the sights were made for Combat hold on this one too?

    Extreme light seven sub is really needed on this gun because it should have one. Plus it’s gonna stop a lot of that snap. A comp would help too. Both really tamed my Hellcat RDP into a kitten with a 3.7” barrel. Have to have adjustable rear sight as a bare minimum.

    You'll be looking for a Match model instead of the Ops model with the rail, but I don't know if they make one in alloy (they do in steel). The rear sight is attached to the optic plate, so by switching to a Holosun K footprint optic, the rear sight is molded into the optic.

    I've never cared for fiber-optic sights. They confuse the sight picture. Are you supposed to put the *center* of the lit circle at the height of the rear sight or the top of the circle (top of the post) at the height of the rear sight? This varies with different guns. I think the case here may be that they expect you to center the lit circle at the height of the rear sight, and this is why you are hitting low. I will buy one of these and if it shoots low like your review (and several others I've watched) replace that front sight with an aftermarket plain black sight.

    Please, use optics on optics-ready pistols. People would like to know if the mounting system is good or similar to Glock MOS.

  • @GBGuns

    @GBGuns

    8 ай бұрын

    I don't use optics because the specific optic you chose can have a big impact on the gun's performance. The weight of the optic, shape, size, and angle of glass can deflect brass differently and cause some loads to not work, etc. If I run an optic I am no longer showing THE gun, I would be testing one of several possible setups and unless you clone that setup you can't reasonably expect the same results. It's a bit misleading to review a gun with any modifications to it.

  • @Mike-yy4ll

    @Mike-yy4ll

    8 ай бұрын

    @@GBGuns That's fair. But if manufacturer CHOSE to incorporate red dot cut - the gun should work with popular red dots like RMR. If it doesn't - then gun is not good. Would be great to test optics-ready handguns with 2 red dots - super light one like Shield RMS(c) and a heaviest one like Swampfox Kraken. I'm sure some pistols will not eject a round with a heavy red dot. But i know i'm asking for too much 😀

  • @GBGuns

    @GBGuns

    8 ай бұрын

    @Mike-yy4ll but then ammo becomes even more of a factor. I've seen brass bounce off a dot and stop the slide. We've seen 115gr range loads vary in energy by over 30%. You see the more we change the gun the more other factors come into play and the less a true review of the gun it becomes. Almost any gun can be setup to run great or run poorly. This is why we always (and other channels never) detail out what ammo we're running and what we know of that ammo.
