Almost certain that Batman/Bruce is smart enough to figure out a way to end crime and turn Gotham into Metropolis, and DC could move his character more into these sort of space adventures for a few years while building up a side story in Gotham bit by bit to make the times that he is in his city more memorable and noteworthy. But actually though imagine if Batman became a space hero, the cool scenes where he’s finding out new alien tech and science and computers would be so awesome, he could become a Yautja-esque hunter (like a Batman version of Machiko Noguchi) who frees planets. This whole comment just made me realize how cool a Batman x Xenomorph crossover would be with Batman hunting them through Gotham, his mansion/cave, or his spaceship.

I kind of like the Silver Age lunacy to this story. Batman goes to space to learn to beat up technicolour alien scumbags? Sure, why not? Give him an alien wolf and flying armour while you're at it. Hell, throw in a robot sidekick. I mean, it's nuts, but it's amusing nuts.

Well, Thanagarians are one of the species that Batman has had lots of encounters with, and should know their fighting styles well. Is it too early to suggest that this assassin may get a change of heart and respect for batman in the next issue, if not even wearing a similar mantle to batman being his icon in this galaxy, inspiring fear and hope?!

Batman has to keep people at a distance as it would greatly in danger them, I travel a lot for work and understand this way of life very VERY well and it's not simple some times people have been ungrateful even mean however because I do work I believe is helping others no matter what country or people and there is no way I could have continued to do my job if I had people in my life on a constant basis and Batman couldn't eather.

@@theheroinformant I just recently saw a reboot of it. Kinda gives me the same feel. Space Ghost was from my childhood. The whole glowing gauntlet thing. 🤷‍♂️ I could be wrong. It could be worth looking into.

Batman isn’t just bound to be just a detective or down to earth. You can make him fit into any kind of story, and make him fight any kind of villain. Back when he was first created, he was fighting Vampires and extraterrestrial/supernatural beings. Grounded Batman stories are cool, and entertaining to see. but at the end of the day, bro is not a grounded. You can make one. But at his core? No he’s not.

@josephdent6825 so you're saying because some writers wrote him doing things out of his character he should keep doing them? That's probably the kind of reasoning that ruined Harley Quinn. Sure, batman can go to outerspace and have whatever adventures he wants but at the end of the day I want to see those adventures desperately require the help of a badass detectives abilities. If you want superman than get superman, if you want flash get flash but when you have popular characters in stories for the sake of then being popular you get dc in the state that it's in where people get tired of seeing great characters like batman and wonder why others aren't being utilized enough and everything just sucks
