Hi Gaming Careers! Thanks for all your videos helping the community (: I have a unique problem that seems to be common in the community. Basically, in OBS Studio, if Noise Supression is on, it mutes my controller clicks (which is great) but cancels out my higher pitched noises like laughs and screams. I can't seem to make it work the way I'd like with just a Noise Gate. I have a white snowball mic. Active filters include: Noise suppression, compressor, gain, limiter and noise gate and I have narrowed it down to just Noise Suppression being the issue.

I probably use the profile switcher a lot. Since being a streamer and content creator, you might need certain things for recording that you would for streaming. By a click of a button, it will have the secondary profile pop up. Have the stuff you need to record and you could even have the third option for the editor you use without having to worry about pressing the wrong button.

Just a heads up for any MMO players that stream, F13-F24 is actually accessible via Shift+F1 through Shift+F12 (for example, Shift+F5 is F17). So if you have those setup for anything in the game, lookout for that.

3:18 App volume device preference is an AWESOME tipp, or in other words: I was today years old when I learned you can predefine which input and output each software uses per default! Why is this so time and nerve saving? Often times I connect to a teams or teamspeak or what ever call and my inputs and outputs are all over the place, but hopefully not anymore :D

Thanks for these tips! I'm really hoping these and/or similar plugins are available for Deckboard (and/or Touch Portal, but I'm still testing both), as I decided to repurpose an old tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A first gen 8") that I had gathering dust in my cupboard for 3 years (I outgrew its limited 16 GB of storage), and so I don't really want to use Elgato Stream Deck Mobile if I can since I can't set up a custom 5×4 button grid for the 4:3 aspect ratio display of the tablet, and it's also a subscription (while I think Deckboard and/or Touch Portal are one-time purchases and/or cheaper subscriptions). I plan to do a video on that as I've set up a custom configuration to have it launch into Deckboard on setup, hide almost all of One UI, and a custom Nova Launcher config that shows me only the apps I need, as well as KWGT widgets set up to resemble Google Nest Hub's "ambient" mode but using different fonts and icons. (1:43) I do actually move windows into specific positions! For example, I may only stream my main display, then have Spotify (or another music app) off to the left, then Discord, a Matrix client, an IRC client, and/or the stream website chat (like KZread or Picarto chat) off to the right. In addition to this, I'm already planning to create specific profiles for different websites and accounts I may stream to, with buttons specific to the OBS configuration and scene collection, as well as whatever else I may want for that session. (5:21) For me, I think it might be possible to ping KZread Live and Picarto's ingest servers. I don't plan to stream on Twitch as I'm not into videogames. Thanks for this tip, and I now have the idea to just do a page/folder dedicated to stream preparation actions, including starting apps, moving windows into place, pinging servers (if I wanted), setting specific smart home automation routines (either Home Assistant or directly to Yeelight and BroadLink), setting scenes, bringing up chats, and more, before finally hitting the button to start streaming, and starting my 90 second countdown* *I've had the idea to do a BBC News inspired countdown where the only common thing would be a countdown in the bottom left corner. I'd have footage from my videos and live streams (starting out with a blank screen on the first stream and building up), and would probably pick some music from the KZread Audio Library. (8:23) While I don't stream on Twitch, I've had flashbacks to when I witnessed some Discord guilds/servers get raided, so I'm imagining there's some kind of plugin that would allow me to temporarily ban and/or kick users who misbehave in chats, by pressing the button that has their profile picture and display name on it. (12:43) I've been planning to do that! While some other users have intentionally or accidentally publicised their live stream playlists, I plan to just use those for starting points and/or inspiration, then create different playlists (mainly in Spotify) for different stream content types that just contain music I like across different genres. (13:05) I'm planning to set up custom icons that would fit my own art style, once I begin doing actual art instead of just sketching.

Along with normal stream control stuff, I use the Advanced Launcher plugin to run Packet Sender with the appropriate options to change Input/Output mappings on my HDMI Matrix Switch. Along with my monitors, one of the outputs is an Atomos Connect 4k that is connected to my Gaming/Streaming PC as the capture source for my streaming. This allows me to quickly and easily capture any source on the HDMI Matrix Switch (including of course the Gaming PC output used for games).
