I've watched a lot of tutorials on Stream Deck and frankly most presenters want to joke around rather than go slowly to help us understand. Your video was superb. I have learnt all I need to know to do what I intend to use it for. Thanks

@@MathewTheBest One thing I would like to do is close a website. Can this be done. I don't recall you covering this. In fact switching off any System inputs.
The text feature can be used if you are in a webinar as a host and want to welcome guests without having to type each message. Also good for timed messages withing meetings and webinars. When I am teaching, this is a great way to keep the flow of information going while taking care of administrative details.

Yes--this is a great video for us newbies! I've had my stream deck on my desktop for a YEAR. NOW I'm ready to use it. Thank you! Subbed!
Thanks for the video! Didn't know multi actions were a thing. Even more excited to get one of these now...
Thanks for this alot. Getting my deck next week, pretty excited, thanks for this Video.
This was a very informative video. I just purchased my Stream Deck XL and after watching your video, I feel very comfortable getting started! Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial for this! just got my deck so gna follow this video. Great job explaining everything.
I wasn’t sure if I should get one but now I’m sure it’s gonna be a time saver for me . Thanks for the video
Appreciate the in depth breakdown. Order mine and can’t wait! 🍻
Hi Mathew! Great video...I will be using the text button quite a bit. When in sales I have a set of responses that I just copy and paste depending on what part of the ladder my lead or client is on. It's super convenient to just hit a button and give my client a generated response that I've predesigned for most scenarios. I have at the moment 10 answers ready to go at any given moment.
Thank you for a to-the-point tutorial on this!
Hey Matthew, Your video on the Elgato stream deck is a lifesaver. I have watched tons of videos and was always lost, but onceni watch yours it was a success and now i u derstand how and can actually for the first time use mine......!Thank you so much for a awesome tuorial
Hi i've just bought a stream deck and you've really helped me out :) Keep up with the good work
Thank you Mathew. Best video for learning System Functions basics. Like how to use open, hotkey, website, and text functions. BTW found a great use for text. Repeated placement of verbiage in an email subject or document like 'Confidential Document Attached' .
I'm a full grown man, to preface. I made it to 5:38 before I legitimately started crying. This already saves me so much time and I have 25 more minutes to watch.
Thanks for this video, it helped me get started setting up my stream deck.
Appreciate the tutorial. Very informative.
This was a great video! It really gets me excited as the possibilities are endless! Can’t wait to set mine up thanks 😎

👀 i know this guide is 2 years old but i see stronghold 2 on the desktop! i absolutley love that game! i am a new streamer (6 months) but i finally bought a stream deck!
this thing is actually pretty neat, I will look into getting one once I start my YT channel
Thanks so much for the help
Excellent presentation and it's really nice for you to point out that you aren't sponsored. I understand why people take sponsorships but a lot of it can be a little deceptive when they are talking about how great a product is. I started streaming 😂 I do a KZread show its politics and I obviously wanted to move to streaming but needed a better desktop because I was essentially editing videos on my school laptop 😂 So I've been streaming and I'm definitely realizing I'm having a problem with chewing things up and having the ability to make a joke or say something and then queue up a video or a sound referring to that, you know what the hell I'm talking about. This seems like this would really help with that
Thank you : Excelent explanaied.
Hell this was super informative! Way better than the others I’ve found, thanks so much for the great video and taking it slow for us noobs. 🤘🏻
Yo that was so helpful tysm!
Thank you *so* much! My stream deck should be here on Tuesday, and I'm so looking forward to it. I'm a mod on a very popular weather YT channel and just being able to use the "text" macro button will save me having to type the same things over and over in live stream chat. It will also help me access other sites while the streams are live, so I can get important information to those that need it. You explained everything so well!

Thanks for the video liked and subbed ✅
I can see this thing being useful for my day-to-day computer use even though I only stream casually and very occasionally so I'm gonna get it! I can already think of endless ways I could use this! E.g. for the hotkey switch where you said you can't think of what anyone could do with it, that can be useful if you are copy/pasting a lot of stuff and just have one button which alternates between CTRL+C > CTRL+V (a dumb example but shows how useful even a feature like that can be). Honestly after watching this video I'm convinced this is an essential gadget that everyone should have on their desks for productivity and efficiency!

Great video...why more informative than what Stream Deck has on their own site. Do you or anyone reading comments know how to record a Lightroom Classic preset to a hotkey?

Awesome video Matthew 👊😁 Question: When I add a multi action command (music and text together on screen) i click on it again and the text wont disappear or reset. Should i remove all of my hot keys associated to my keyboard? Thats what i used before getting the stream deck. Thanks brotha ⭐️ Flex Smashed the Like 😁👍
For the hotkey switch option. I have that set up for gaming. I use it as a on/off switch
Great video , where did you get that wallpaper
6:46 you don't have to delete the title. You can turn off the text in the text options. That way you can still see the title in the software but not on the Stream Deck itself.
Hey there, great video. Quick suggestion, you may want to make your socials above "clickable". Took me a few to figure out what I was doing wrong. All the best and thanks again!
This video has made me feel more confident buying a steam deck. Thanks for showing off the folder feature. Now I know I dont have to get the XL for more options.
This is a great primer on the SD, thanks. Is it possible to to create a multi-action that, for example, initiates all the actions required withing OBS and FB to begin a stream from scratch on FB?
You can use the hot key switch in some games. For example one of the games I got this for is ats and you can use it to turn on off a Jake brake.
Hey Matt, thanks for the video, for the longest time I had no idea how does stream deck even do or why it was so popular among streamers. Now I see it is very handy and I just may pick up a mini to try it myself before even going into the regular one.
Thanks for the video. Looking cute too btw
If you're playing a game and you specify one key to open something, and the other to close. The hotkey alternate would suit this scenario well.
Omg i really love your Webcam Border, It's super good. Wondering where i can get one.

This one I actually made myself using Adobe After Effects but I know Nerd or Die has some good borders without having to spend the amount of time that I spent making this one 😅
Great video.....QUESTION, if I'm streaming, how can I switch between open applications with the Stream Deck? I saw how you can open, but how can you switch between them/minimize to taskbar like an alt-tab command?
Getting one soon

Wallpaper Engine on Steam!
Thanks for the basic tutorial! I’m still thinking about buying one, for the purposes of D&D audio. But I have a question, which might need its own tutorial video. I would like to be able to have Music and SFX. If I click a file I’ve deemed Music, I would like to fade out of current music, start the new music, and have it play on loop. If I click a file I’ve labeled SFX (with or without looping), the music will still play uninterrupted, and the SFX will play (once or until manually paused). Multiple SFX can be running at once, such as a looping ‘fire popping’ and a short one time ‘screaming child’ (Pyromaniac Sorcerer, don’t ask).
One of the best videos about stream deck! If you allow me 2 questions please, this is all new for me Q1: Can i install the app and configure it while i wait to arrive? I would like to do some work ahead of time Q2: If i change from PC to Mac, can i use the same stream deck or i need to "reset it" and start setting up like if it was new? Thanks in advance and sorry for my English; i'm still learning Have a Productive and Healthy Day!
