Does Dr Nourah has a video detailing her experience? Now I’m curious. Thank you so much for the video. It’s my understanding that interviews are mostrly virtual this days, it would be nice to have a fresh experience in your channel from UPenn. You guys always make good questions to the speaker!

Hello, thank you for sharing such an informative Q and A session. One question I remained confused about is, whether F1 visa is mandatory for joining DDS program by international applicants. What if someone has an H4 visa stamped? Can some clarification be provided here?

Hello there! Mostly F1 visa isn't mandatory to apply to DDS programs for international students. However, a few schools do require/prefer students that have a visa that permits them to stay in the US, which includes H4 too. Some others explicitly say that they are seeking only Green card holders/citizens. While some schools, don't have such parameters as prerequisites. Long story short - Each school has different visa requirements. You should find those schools that match your visa and apply. My son is in 9th grade and interested in doing medicine and as we are on h1 and he is on h4. Is it possible to make a video whether is it possible to do medicine for students who did their highschool in US and about acceptance and scholships?

Unfortunately, there aren't many scholarships for H4 visa students, and Federal Government Student Loans or Pell Grants aren't available to H4 visa holders. That doesn't mean you can't go to your school's admissions office and ask about any merit-based scholarships or grants available to you, however. We're specialized in US dental school admission process. The best way to enquire is to call the med schools for criteria or check their website.

Yes. absolutely. You have will have a terrific chance, not on par with Green card holders though

I am also on H4visa, and want to volunteer as a dental assistant for a private dental clinic. Could you please tell me are we allowed to do this on H4 visa?

Hello @naaz Fatima: Yes, you can. You can ask for a background check in case the dentist is skeptical due to the covid situation.

Thank you for the response. Are you sure we can? I looked for an answer on the internet and found that H4 visa holders can not volunteer for work a US citizen or GC holder will be paid for! I found a dentist and currently volunteering as a dental assistant for her, but not sure I can write this on my CV or not
