Definitely duct those bathroom fans to the outside. There's no such thing as a too dry attic - When hunting for a house in .dk, I saw a house where the bathroom and kitchen had been dumped into the attic for 7+ years. The entire structure had turned black and spongy. My carpenter does not fancy black and spongy. (I just looked at the trades on that house, and my guess it that someone else didn't do their own inspection.)

Thanks for the update, just FYI the blade that you were using to cut the insulation should have a slot in the back end for breaking off the blades makes it a little safer.😁

12:51 and 15:00 At the right side, there some Wago connectors on that wire with a bit of isolation tape arround it and also loose Wagos like on every ceiling light. You should put them in a box like every other connection point. It's a potential fire hazard as it is now cause theoretically, water/moisture can easily get to the connections causing shorts and bad connections 🤔 And also put ducting on that bathroom fans. Blowing air with high moisture in the attic will end up in big issues with mold and other stuff, causing expensive repairs to change load-bearing wooden beams/walls/etc., which is not an easy task

Hi, Morten 👋🏼 You folks gave been really busy and very productive! The Jeep looks fabulous on your new driveway. Good to see you have lots of sand and stone for your next orojects. Hope you covered them up to slow growth of green things or maybe habitation of things with legs 😄 (poisonous fire salamanders?). Got your trees protected. Btw, love the mini swales you built up at their bases to hold rain runoff. Your grounds look terrific from your great mow. I meant to mentin this on previous vids. I also like to tidy surfaces before covering them up with clean insulation. Yes, cutting away from ourselves is safer. Your test pipe insulation should help. Will you be able to visit your Portugal playhouse before the searing hot weather returns? Or are you thinking to return in the Fall and help pick olives on friends' farms? Nice vid for me to relax with during my break between chores. Thanks 👍🏼

The fans over the shower are an invitation for littlecritters to drop on you while having a shower. Some fine mesh shoud be over their openings. Especially a lot of spiders go for moisture.

audit and rehab elec and then just add foam boards and maybe some plywood - don't go crazy. you should bring in some compost or loam to add some organic material to the land and make it more green and resilient - try some tests - you have nothing to lose. a nicer looking house will increase value, make neighbors happy and make you happy - the question remains as to why you have plumbing in the ceiling - an awkward design choice to say the least. use zip ties and get better wiring for the ap - but you are right essentially that if it works don't fix it, still it could be improved #tuborg bronze award

House is built on a mountain,, on rock,, plumbing in the ceiling was easier I guess. Plywood - opening to the ceiling is a bit small. Foam Boards - My house is in a high risk fire zone,, very important to not have anything as flammable as foam boards,, in the ceiling,, could sandwich them in drywall,, but a lot of work! Rockwool does not burn,, at all :-)

@@MyPlayHouse remember - everything burns, even metal; put the plumbing in the floor where it belongs and to replace plumbing put in a sprinkler system - while you are at it you can add plywood if you want, would make space more usable but don't go overboard, fire suppression system may help with piece of mind and insurance rates? collecting all rocks from yards would not hurt - easy to do with a tractor, then add compost for more verdant (green) feel - think about some garden space for flowers and maybe some hot peppers etc plus maybe planters - the concrete deck will look nice, do a dali mural or something arty - drink some cold ones out there when done

Why not just lay the insulation over the floor? I understand it would have you lose the floor for storage but then you ain’t storing anything up there.

That floor space is nics to have. It´s just nailed in,, It does not need to take long to, remove it and put in the insolation.

Hi, I'm curious why you're not using Starlink instead of LTE? The prices recently got down by a lot in Europe. Maybe it's worth to take a look.

Starlink is €65 per month + €600 I think for the dish.. I pay like €35 per month,, and it is not that much slower. And I do not trust the guy running the Starlink show,, much,, lot of doubtful decisions lately.

@@MyPlayHouse nah, most places in Europe they decreased the price for the kit to around €230. Monthly costs are €50 p/m. I'm getting speeds near 300 Mbps down and 40 Mbps up. It could even be cheaper in south European countries. I just checked and for Portugal it's €40 per month for service and €225 for the hardware. If you don't like Elon Musk... That's understandable.
