This is the most current information in the industry. I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer 9/202I completed 6 chemo treatments so far 2 more to go and then 2 weeks off and radiation for 5 days. After the 4th chemo treatment the MRI showed no visible tumor and lymph nodes back to normal size. The Surgeon will do scope after radiation to make sure tumor is gone. Instead of surgery will do watch and wait. I have changed my diet and cut out alcohol completely. I now understand self care means taking good care of your health.♥️Thank you to all the wonderful medical professionals.

Excellent presentation. I'm undergoing treatment for a Stage cT3 in Germany. I am taking part in a Neoadjuvant trial at the University of Erlangen. My treatment was 6 weeks of radiation with a 'boost' for the last 5 days. Chemo was FOLFOX given for 4 weeks concurrently. After a 4 week pause, I then received 6 FOLFOX treatments (every 2 weeks) of a much stronger strength. The 5FU was tolerated, but I reacted to the Oxaliplatin and it was discontinued. I will be restaged after a 3 week break.

I think in general terms the most significant advancements in Rectal cancer are TME, imaging esp MRI and third being the sub speciality of colorectal surgery and the high volume Centers. The last but not the least being practice of MDT/ MDC or tumor specific board and the emerging concept of organ preservation/ W&W.

That’s a lot of info. I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer (curable). Ironwood cancer has me on 2 weeks of capecitabine , chemo every 3weeks, and radiation to follow.. does that sound normal?

sad, the survival rate is sad cause docs say its cured, but no! its not unless their body and lifestyle changes are made or it can come back. specially after the body has broken down by chemo and ra which itself is toxin and cancer carcinogenic. this was great video though. so appreciate them sharing their info. I have pretty rare type stage 3 invasive squamous cell carcinoma that started in my pelvis muscles and now have 5 that is wrapping around these areas. lost 25 lbs this month. doing much gerson natural treatment and labs great so far. i have two teams, trying to choose one. both are great and open minded thank goodness. anyway, thanks for taking time to share more info with us. we appricate.

This is great except even at the best hospitals in the world, they disagree on what to call it depending on where it is. I have mass 10cm up and they are treating it is as colon
