Thank you. It's been one of my big missions for these videos. To show that haircare can be affordable and that heat is not the enemy. 😊

Beautiful hair! Going to try the tip about adding moisturizer and heat protectant before blow drying. Although worried my hair will come out greasy once I flat iron. Thanks for sharing ❤

Heyy. Thank you. I have tried it the other way and there is alot of snap crackle pop going on when I apply my products right before using the iron. Cause the products are sitting on the strands and haven't had a chance to absorb fully and then my hair would seem like it was frying and then smelt burned. I like to make sure the hair is evenly coated so it doesn't dry out. Hope that makes sense. My hair is naturally on the drive end so I have had to learn to switch things up. 😊

@@sonyawilliams2204 I'm sorry girl. I spent years doing trials on what I thought would work and last the longest. It's the downside to the journey. It sucks. 🤗

Hello. Mo is a queen at doing those roller sets. She does it flawlessly with such ease. I would love to learn to do it on my hair as well. I haven't tried chasing with a brush, but I can give it an attempt. 😊

Beautiful hair…I wanted to if you’ve ever experienced heat damage? I want to put heat on my hair actually myself and my stylist wants to see how long it has gotten but I’m terrified because I’ve experience severe heat damage during Covid

Yes I have. Over 10 years ago. When I stopped relaxers but still was learning safe ways to straighten my hair and all the new growth ended up getting damaged from heat in the process of me learning. Let your stylist know you are nervous and talk about all the methods she could put into place to protect your hair. It's in these moments when a conversation with the stylist before hand can make a huge difference. Ensuring that you have time to be sitting with her and she is giving your hair the time it needs. Stylists are busy and sometimes they could be rushing and cutting corners on safety methods. It takes me so long to do my hair cause I'm putting in every action I can think of during the prep to keep my strands intact when the heat touches it. Stylist should be cleansing and conditioning and drying. No damp spots . Lots of heat protection from top to bottom. Slow controlled passes. Not quick . Perhaps ask what temp she has the iron on when she does the first pass and see if u like the results before she continues. Look to see if there is alot of steam and if u can hear your hair sizzling. I have heard my hair sizzle like bacon. Its super scary. So watch her passes right from the start so u can catch if something seems a little too high or not right. If she is skilled and passionate about hair she will work alongside you not just on you. It takes bravery to trust another with our crown. You are in control of the experience as you pay attention and ask questions. Your hair is gonna come out swinging and slaying. 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️

@@Tgallager2742 it could that at the time, your hair was in a fragile stage. Since our hair is always going through phases. Sometimes excessive hair coming out or changing in texture could just be cause the hair is in a shedding stage. Keep me posted.🤗

Thanks for the great video. Do you ever sleep in the conditioner overnight? Also will the head and shoulders shampoo/conditioner effect freshly dyed hair?

Heyyy beautiful. Back in the day (10 years ago) I used to sleep with conditioner in overnight. When I was first recovering from heat damage I did lots of deep conditioning. As long as you are mindful of the amount of protein in the kind you are using. And for the head and shoulders yessssss. That is a great question. I won't use it for the first month atleast when I color my hair. I have noticed that the color fades quicker. ❤️❤️❤️
