Updated Slot Car Track Layout and More

Ойындар

I was able to source some of the accessories that slot car racers insist newbies "Go Out and Buy These Essential Things," none of which are in any way essential, as it turns out. I'll have many things to say about these products, and also about the wasteful, out-of-control cash-grab mentality of slot car racers, in the weeks to come.

I really like your frank and direct perspective on the hobby. It can get very expensive very quickly which has been the main reason I’ve stuck with analog setups and building wood routed tracks. I’m looking forward to your next videos especially thoughts on the hand controller and Bluetooth connector. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

You can gett the Batmb\obile for about $60. Then the Carspn Chip will work on multiple Scalextric Cars where the DRP feature lets you move the chip from car to car in about 1 minute. BTW: My d124 layout is over 80ft and I have no jumpers. I have a couple buddies who've complimented and commented they are surprised I don't have any jumpers I dId find that the lack of blue tooth for connecting a racing app, and a radio reciever for wireless controllers is not optimal. together those two features add another $75+ to the price of entry. I'm not sure how Scalextric manages to get both features into their digital system alone with the ability to flip a switch to make the track analog or digital. And they include wireless controllers in their digital sets for freedom of movement around your track. I own both brands. With about 120ft of Carrera track and over 350ft of Scalextric. I will say it's easy to be happy with either one once you get it all setup and a decent layout.
