In 1st edition we used 1 straight template to mark a ship if you have to take it off the board (or 2 straight for large ships), the template is exact length of the ship base. I think it is actually the players that came up with this technique, and in 2nd ed they added the corner piece mark thingy which can be used to mark all three base sizes.

You can put one Modification and one Title upgrade on every ship, those are not shown in the upgrade bar. But you probably figured that out.

Not until I started playing 1st edition. I somehow missed any explanation of that in the then-80-page online-only rules reference for 2nd edition. In fact, when I was starting out with 2nd edition, I stopped using upgrade cards altogether and just played with generic ships because of how confusing list building was. Even now, I can't be bothered to pour over constantly-changing PDF files to determine point costs for upgrade cards, half of which are banned. Moving forward, when I play 2nd edition I'll just use quick builds. Life is too short to do otherwise.

1st edition is superior, you have points on cards so you don't even need any online builders, the attack and defense are right on bases, so you don't have to even reference cards, etc... Cards are smaller and more neat. The only better thing about second edition is medium base size.

We recently (July 2024) ordered a Tudor mini-ultimate game (36” x 18”) with a magnetized pro team field - an extra $89.99. We were looking at following up with college and other magnetized fields…. but… the first field was cut poorly on the sideline. Bryan was kind enough to send us a replacement field which showed up in just three days. This field was not cut correctly either, 1/2 inch shorter than the original field h e sent us. Can anyone explain why they can’t get the field dimensions right? Why offer magnetized fields if they are going to be such poor quality? Has anyone else had an experience like this? UPDATE: this game was purchased for my 10-year old daughter as I pass down my love of the game to her. This past weekend her friends came over and everyone was so excited to play! Which is what I remember of the game when I was growing up. Are there other electric football companies out there? Someone who takes pride and care in the quality of the product?

All the tires on my cars have been sanded. There's definitely some benefit from sandpaper, but that only seems to smooth out bumps we can't see or feel. There's so much snake oil out there, I'm just throwing stuff at the wall until something sticks, and I'm starting with household goods. Wait til you see my next couple of experiments! :P

It's a weird dimension, you can just see the corner of the king bed on screen, and the far side is beneath a table. It's not ideal, but it works for me.

Seems to be different for every car. Some of them just pop out. Crash them enough, and they'll just start falling off on their own. This particular car's wing was not difficult to remove, just had to pull it.

It maybe against the rules but at home i make my model how i want but during play i limit the components to use. So even though the ship may have 3 types of guns, it maybe limited to 2 or 1.

I also opted for desert khaki. I think he'll end up producing additional color choices if the demand continues to be high. There's just no way I can collect them all at that price point, though.

All FFG had to do from the start was not go into 2.0. 2.0 became so tournament centric that everyone below got shafted,and then as I just found out,they even screwd up the tournament scene! Funnily enough,four months ago,Star Trek Attack Wing,the game made by Wizkids who bought the engine license,the game that was noted for being even worse in terms of balance and power creep,the game that from the beginning didn't have a good method of seeing what the expansions had(FFG made it oh so clear on their website before handing it over to AMG),the game whose website is still crappy as Hell with vast amounts of product still out of stock,released their two or three expansions for the Voyager series of ships. Not the first time they released ships for that series,but now it includes more cleaned up words,more ship options,and all with a heavy emphasis on the theme of the original show. What a time to be alive...

The ion dischargers are just to remove their own ions, the enemy can choose to become ioned to make you discard the upgrade. Basically it’s designed for using more than one mod and used with pulse ray shields to recover shields and then remove the ion token for free if you’re close to enemy ships over and over.

If you can find one for 10 to 15 bucks, yeah I would say it's worth it. Aside from the new ships and cards, the included rules reference book is handy. The ship models alone sell for at least $7 each on the secondary market.

I really like this game and I wish that it wasn't completely abandoned by the devs. Even the site for the company that made it is long gone. And you can't even get access to the single fan page that has all the mods, and addons for it, because you need mod permission to join, and the mods are... completely absent. I bought this game on sale, and it's definitely in an unfinished state. It's a shame that the devs have no intention on finishing it.

I was able to join that Facebook group. I had to submit a screenshot of my Steam account with the game in my library, and that was a kerfuffle, but apparently they had some trouble with bot scam Facebook accounts trying to join at some point.

My membership has been on the pending list awaiting a response for weeks. There seems to be no one there to okay it, or I just got ignored with no response. If they just ignored me, I can't resubmit my request to join because there's not even a rejection to reset my request. There's not even an option available for me to send a message to the moderator of the page. I've been in perpetual "wait for a response" mode for WEEKS.

I don't know what it is about that sculpt, but to me, it looks like they made Luke a little too.. buff. Like that Jedi training he did involved a lot of weight lifting. And to add to that image, there's something with that face sculpt that makes it look kind of like the head of Arnold Schwarzenegger from the original Terminator movie. At least it's not like the sculpts they did of the characters in the 90's where they all had comic superhero bodies. For some reason, they made the characters BUFF in that series. I remember seeing it in the toy department back then and getting a kick out of that series. Luke Skywalker had a body that Captain America WISHED he had. This particular figure, while okay, kind of looks a bit like "The Star Wars Holiday Special Luke Skywalker" to me with that face sculpt.

Plenty of unused scalextric sets for sale cheap 2nd hand You'll break your cars racing with friends. Get down to your local club and get on a bigger track then you will want a fancy tru speed controller.

Unless I’m mistaken the cad bane card is calling the bombs that are friendly to you the ones you re roll. So he’s making it so if they roll attack dice and don’t take damage you can force a re roll to try for damage.

I actually bought this game a while ago. It's sad that this game feels... unfinished and abandoned. I enjoy what's there. But there's pretty much no documentation and the game really REALLY feels unfinished. The game is confusing if you know nothing about slot cars, especially on the car construction side of things.

Your honesty is very much appreciated. I also definitely agree that some of these things should be baked into the set instead of having people pay more to add on. In this day and age Bluetooth SHOULD be included when a set costs over $500 to start with.
