Hi; That might be possible with an HDMI splitter, but from what I can tell, it's not possible with just the iPad/iPhone.

Does this work with the newest iPhone update and on every app?

Watch 2:50 and 10:10 in this video ... if the adapter doesn't work out or work the way you want, most retailers have a generous return policy.

I just bought a HDMI adapter today and I fear it won’t work because I have iOS 16.1.2. I’m hoping that the adapter will work when I update to iOS 16.6 and won’t have the same issue when iOS 17 comes out.

This always works at my home Wi-Fi. It does not work at any hotel Wi-Fi or cellular date. I even tried to stream a Amazon prime movie that I paid for and downloaded to my phone. Amazon will not let it stream via hdmi adapter

You can buy an iPad dedicated to using cellular data that works with the adapter. There are a lot of factors that are unique to a person's set-up that can cause a problem with downloads. VPNs, for instance, can interfere. Anyway, sorry you're having a problem with the download, and I hope you're able to find a solution.

You'll have to go through every step I mention in the video. If none of those steps work, then it's a problem unique to your set-up and you need to get in touch with Netlix or Apple tech support.

After iOS 16 updates the lightning to HDMI adapter doesn’t work. NOTE: that is what I am seeing all over the internet. I can’t confirm because I use my usb c to HDMI adapter for my iPad Mini 6.

2:25 Yes, I was getting reports of that around the time I made this video, and then Apple sent another update fixing the adapter issues for iOS 16. All kinds of things will break when iOS updates, because it's a form of "tech debt." Only people complaining will alert them that they need to patch it.

Yeah, it actually affected my adapter, too, at the time, but when the next patch came out (not sure which version 16-point-something...), it worked for me again. So that's why I put that "It Stopped Working!" description/timestamp in case the functionality disappeared again.

Hi; it only works for me using Wi-Fi, and I have 5G cellular. An iPad with a C port or Cellular iPad can work. Examples include iPad Air 4 cellular and iPad mini 6 cellular.

I am trying to find a whatever solution for the display of Netflix content from an iPhone on a beamer via an HDMI adapter, but obviously none of the commercial players in this market want this to work! Exactly that adapter which is presented here is attributed with a denial by the dealers (e.g. on Amazon) in the meantime, that it will not work with protected content such as Netflix etc. I suspect that Netflix seems to have a deal with the hardware manufacturers (the expensive hardware….), which have the suitable decoder implemented and sell it for a lot of money! 😢

Hello. I'm sorry you're having trouble making this work for your situation. Netflix and Disney Plus work with the Apple Lightning AV Adapter. There are no "deals" that prevent it from working, as long as you have subscriptions to those services. All I can tell you is that there is some conflict on your system that is preventing it from working, and I address that at 6:06 and at 9:09.

The mentioned Apple Lightning AV Adapter seem to be available as cheap chinese copies (around 15$) on various online shops, mainly Amazon. But all these „products“ mention that explicitly Netflix / HULU / Prime etc. are not supported. The original Apple Product costs 3 x of the „no names“ - does this make the difference?

It depends on the strength of the cellular signal in your data plan. I have 5G, and even then it is hit-or-miss.

I'm sorry you're having an issue. Check the resolution in Disney+ plus (the app) and set it to Standard Resolution. You're not saying if you use Wi-Fi or cellular; if you're using cellular, then the adapter is hit or miss. I don't have any other tips, so please get in touch with Apple tech support if these solutions don't work.
