She is absolutely beautiful, I would give anything to have a horse of my own! So it really breaks my heart and makes me very angry when people that have them neglect them it's not right! Thank you soo much for taking the time and the money to save her life!! She still has a lot of Life in Her, you can see it in her eyes!! 💜 💜 I wish I had the space and the money to be able to adopt her myself cuz I would take her in a heartbeat I've wanted a horse my entire life we've just never had the money or the space to be able to do it! 😢😔😥

She is beautiful and deserves to be happy. Thank you for loving her and being her heart human.

I just find myself so impressed & emotional over this sweet horse,...& her amazing owner/mom. She could not be in a better place & with a better woman! ❤❤❤ I'm so glad this sweet, well behaved, beautiful horse is well on the way to being in the pink again ❤❤❤ What heroes you & your Vet & team are. I found myself in tears watching you & your sweet horse as you told her story & took care of her. She took her medicines so well 😢❤ & she was as peaceful as she could be when she was clearly not feeling well & dealing with the neurological issues...bless her heart 🙏😢😍 God put her in your path for a reason! I just read on a short clip, someone saying "I would never spend that much money on on a horse"! Wow...then you don't love animals, especially horses. I have always wanted a horse, but didn't have the money or housing. But, I've always LOVED HORSES. They are such beautiful animals. Glad she is responding. My 28 yr old boy just came down with sidewinder syndrome. He is on vitamin E and some turmeric supplements. Fortunately he is just walking with a list to one side and not circles. He had an initial round of steroids. He seems to have stabilized some. Hope your girl makes a complete recovery. Glad she is with you!

You need to adopt her, she is doing so well.....don't put her thru another transition with strangers, when she is flourishing under your care and your wonderful energy.

I watched the short video which led me to here. All those negative comments and the people who wrote obviously don’t know what compassion means. I don’t even own a horse let alone know about all the things that can happen, health wise. But I have had dogs. Still have one more. And I have and will continue to pay and continue to care for each and every dog until all that can be done has been done and I have only had to actually put one to sleep and that was because of the pure awful suffering he was going through and it was time to take away his pain. I guess my point is those that don’t understand something seem to just be mean or even nasty to others who would give everything they have got to save and give life back into those animals that deserve it. I’m one of those. No matter the costs. I’m proud of you for giving it your all to save all the horses you have saved. No matter the cost. Giving it your all. Thank you. God is working through you. I have faith in this. 🙏❤️ God Bless🙏❤️

A certohyoidectomy operation which removes the ceratohyoid bone. She explains in the video 😊

I have nystagmus. Not fun.

In humans a broken hyoid is always a sign of strangulation

SPINAL ISSUE. LIKE A CONCUSSION HAD FOR 3.5 YRS

What causes such an illness? Wish I was a gazillionair. No horse would have to travel very far for expert help or care. And there would be no charge!❤

The exact cause of THO is not completely understood, but may be due to either infection or inflammation spreading from nearby structures such as the inner ear or guttural pouch. Conversely, the disease may be a degenerative condition of the temporohyoid joint itself, somewhat similar to arthritis of other joints.

@@mountainshadowsequine yeah but on my mind if she’s recovering this means something caused it. “Specific causes of neurological problems vary, but can include genetic disorders, congenital abnormalities or disorders, infections, lifestyle or environmental health problems including malnutrition, and brain injury, spinal cord injury or nerve injury”.

@@barbaraschultz1442I think she’s recovering because they operated on the hyoid bones that were causing the pressure. I haven’t researched what causes that though, I’m not familiar with the condition. I would imagine fatal if not corrected by surgery.

Please ADOPT HER? She'll never trust anyone the way she does you.

The title really annoys me. Every vertebrate is neurological since they all have a nerve system.

Don't be that person man. It's pretty common to refer to horses with neurological conditions or disorders as simply "neurological."

Just imaging if people were put down when something goes wrong with them! They should treat horses as people! Unless there is absolutely no hope, they should be treated and given every chance at recovery. Almost every time this happens they go one to live a full life. Imagine if we were put down because we were in pain!! Thank you for giving her that chance and being there with her. ❤️❤️❤️🫶🫶🫶
