About the art contest, personally, it is allways a pleasure to hear your thoughts about each peace and for me never feels repetitive at all; but I also understand that having 1,500 entries to talk about Isn't something easy. Also, can't wait to see your new editing skills. Wish you the best!

As an artist who entered the art contest, I honestly dont mind if its repetitive. Anything you say about my art, even if its just 'oh this is cool' would be amazing for me, specifically because I don't get really any compliments lol (Im Rainestorm, the one who did the one with all the secret codes. Ik you wont be able to translate them bc you already have alot of work to do, sorry, I didn't realise there would be so many entries) Edit for english corrections (im not great at it)

so as an artist myself! (..and a frequent of the art contests) ok so firstly i just want to say it’s great to hear an update from you! and about the commentary on the contest: obviously that is only your choice to make, but personally even tho it can be “repetitive”, to hear someone say something positivite about your art can mean SO MUCH for the artist, even tho it’s just some quick words, even if it’s said before and it’s repetitive, hearing someone say “oh i like this a lot, super neat.” is just so great. i don’t think anyone will mind it being repetitive at all! on the other hand, if you don’t do the commentary the video will be out sooner, and it’ll be shorter, which is good too. (personally i still highly prefer having the commentary there.) either way we have trust in that it will be a great video nonetheless!! this was just my personal opinion, i can’t wait to see it!❤️

for the art competition i love the commentary and i think a good handfull of people would be dissapointed if you didnt do commentary, but from the amount of entries that there are not only might it be hard for you to say new things but that just sounds exshausting for you, and im sure that we will all be happy with whatever you put out. in my opinion, i think you should do honerable mentions and comment on peices that are more original and creative along with the winners, but regardless we all understand whatever way you choose to go with the art competition!!

if you're still up to it, I'd say keep the commentary for the art contest. I know you said it could be repetitive, but I think it would keep things entertaining. And just in my opinion, any compliments I could get from you would be great! Although if you think it'll do better without it that's fine too. Either way I appreciate that you really put thought and effort into your videos ^^ And can't wait for the Tangled and Oshi no ko content! I've been watching these series with my cousin and they've been great, especially Oshi no ko, one of my new favorite animes :D

As an artist who’s entering for the first time, and has watched the other contest videos, I understand issue with comments being repetitive, but being told directly that your art is good can be a lot to an artist, even if it’s something as simple as “I really like this art piece!”. But I also won’t mind it if there isn’t any commentary(and it’s probably more convenient). Although, I would say that if you do choose to add comments, maybe do it in two videos since, well…..1,500 entries. (Also, your cat is cute😊)

As one of the artists I love the commentary and I love seeing your opinions on the art and it makes me personally feel so hat you actually saw the art

I understand the frustration of ending up saying the same things over again.. trust me I’m not good at it either but it’s good to let people know what you think. And sure it probably sounds like it’s not enough but some artists rather be seen and let be known that they are ( sorry I talk to much 😅)

I personally feel that having any feedback is better than none for the benefit of the artists who want to get thoughts on their work. Also as a viewer, I usually flick through the art pieces, and when I see one that catches my attention I'll pause the video to check it out and hear your thoughts on it, because even if you dont feel you have the words to describe the specific artistic qualities of the piece, your commentary still puts the thoughts from the pov of a TOH fan as well personality into the scene, which otherwise is just an impersonal slideshow. I can totally understand though that this video is HUGE with hundreds of submissions, so if the commentary is taking years to finish r makes the video too long r whatever, then dont exhaust yourself. Sorry for the rant, do whatever you want. Love your videos.

As someone who did enter the contest, I would LOVE to hear your commentary and opinions on the pieces, as it helps some of us to improve our art, and this is the first art contest I've ever entered. But it's your channel, and I will be grateful either way for whatever you choose! I love your videos, and I hope this helps you pick what to do.

As someone who submitted a 25 second animation to the art contest, I don't mind how long it takes or if the commentary is repetitive. It's just cool to have you art on a big youtubers channel and let them speak about it, no matter what it is, and I hope you're taking care of yourself Zeez!

Being someone who has entered the last and current art contests, the last time you spoke about my art made me really happy! It didnt bother me if you werent sure on what to say, honest. You dont have to make the reply the best. It's not a bad thing if its repetitive. Don't pressure yourself, Zeez!

I would say that any art critique, even if it might be repetitive, is much appreciated as long as it isn’t unnecessary harsh without reason. With how many entries the contest got, of course there is going to be some overlap. I say, just do your best!

i think a good idea to approach the art contest is to say 2 good things about each piece, then one bad thing that needs improvement. ex. "i really like the lineart and shading in this one. it looks really well-made. however, you should try to stick to a colour palette to make it easier on the eyes." or something like that. it's what i do when i'm looking at other people's art. maybe sandwich the bad thing in the middle of the good things so people won't walk away with a sour taste in their mouth. idk tho take your time

A lot of people barely have any online following or support for their art, so supporting people is going to mean a LOT. And you caring enough about artists' feelings is a welcome surprise. I’m an artist and tbh I would love to hear your commentary on it. It would really bring a lot of people joy to hear compliments on their art even if the compliment was used again. But I do understand why saying the same comments can be repetitive tho.

I mean, yeah, commentary for all the pieces would just be absurd. I think you can maybe group the similar pieces together, and maybe give a general commentary on each group.

With the editing, a simple trick that many KZreadrs (And I am trying to apply) use is simply make something flashy, something that will grab the viewers attention. There are other people online who can explain this better than me, but that's the gist of it

As an artist who entered the finale art contest, i've always been super excited for the video to come out so I could see my piece, but listening to your comments is the main reason for why I entered (take as much time as you need to complete the video). Usually when I judge my friends' art pieces, I try to avoid being repetitive by pointing out and describing the unique parts of each person's art style, and how it affects the look of their drawings. I also give them my positive opinions on how I feel about their art, and I'm not afraid to give advice for where they should improve. (I'm a little late to this, but I still hope this helps you in some way) Also as a Tangled the Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure fan, I'm really looking forward to your reviews of it, since TTS has been super underrated in my opinion. Can't wait for the new videos, but also don't be afraid to take your time!

I mean like being in the art contest is good enough. It was probably the highlight of my day one the last one when I saw my art ,Abomination clone amity, and get commentated by you. Even if sometimes it feels a bit repetitive. It feels good to know you saw the art.

I love how you put in all that effort giving commentary for every single entry, and I don’t find it repetitive. If it ever gets to be too much work due to an unmanageable amount of entries, I’d get if you stop adding commentary. That being said I didn’t participate in this art contest, but I did in the prior video and art contest and I really treasured and appreciated your kind words.

For the art contest, as an artist, I for one think a lot of people would really appreciate your comments overall. Even if it feels repetitive, it can be extremely validating to hear a compliment on your artwork, even if its something youve heard plenty of times before. Of course, this is completely your choice. You put a ton of work into your videos, and given this was meant to be a small art contest, I would understand cutting the commentary to spare any strain that would be put on making such a long video. On the other hand, I do have a suggestion. If not for this contest, then for a future one: At some point, your commentary is going to feel repetitive to you, especially when you do the same thing over and over again. However, I think a fun way to spice things up would be to include multiple commentaries. Maybe grab a few friends, some that are artists, some that arent, that could comment on the contest with you. Not only would they have their own compliments to give, but it would save you the stress of putting all of the spotlight to comment, onto yourself. Which id imagine can be pretty draining. This would mean a longer video, and possibly more editing, but as many people have said here, commentaries would be appreciated. I feel this would be a good work around, even if its just one extra person commenting with you. Thats just my thoughts on the matter. Whatever you choose to do, we will understand. And theres always a chance for another contest in the future.

As an artist in the contest, im not the best of an artist and this may very between different people but it really helps when your art gets complimented even if it’s similar or the same as something said about another piece. So yes, I can’t speak for everyone in the contest but I couldn’t care if it’s repetitive, it’s always nice when someone compliments my art 😊

Well, one piece of advice: Playing with items is definitely an interesting choice, if your trying to get better, turning items off will for sure help with your gam-OH you want feedback for the video, not SSBU…I knew that (Fr tho, I like hearing your commentary on each art piece, and I’m sure the artists will appreciate your comments :) )

As a viewer and as someone who has entered quite a few contests from Zeez, I do think it’s fun to hear what zeez says about each individual piece, but it can get a bit repetitive with all the similar entries. So, I think the best idea would be to only commentate on the entries toward the end (honorable mentions and winners)

As an artist, (wow this is how a lot of people are starting their comments like this) I always love to have positive feedback, and I don’t thank most artists would be upset over the repetition.

Zeez, sure I’ve watched your channel because I like Amphibia and The Owl House, but I quite like you as a person as well! It would take away a big part of the contest if you weren’t talking in it. I would totally understand if that would be far too much work for you though because 1000+ Entries is crazy. But as an artist myself, I was never bothered by your previous commentary in the other contests and was impressed by how much work you would put into them. I think you’ll do a good job on the new contest and whatever else new stuff you decide to do in the future. On an unrelated note, I actually had a piece prepared for the art contest, but could submit it due to a storm in my area the day it was due (my power went out) (bruh). It’s fully complete now, and if there’s any chance I can still submit it to the contest going on now or maybe a future one, that would be great, just let me know.

i can't speak for everyone but personally, the commentary was a big contributing factor in me signing up for the last contest in the first place haha. beyond just getting new eyes on my work, i was really excited to hear any kind of feedback even if it was smth like "this looks cool" since i don't get a ton of it normally lol. i know it does get to feel repetitive when you don't have a lot to say, but i think for many artists even the smallest recognition goes a long way. your words about my piece for the last contest really meant a lot to me haha and i think hearing the judges' personal thoughts is a welcomed factor in any contest setting. for specific commentary, i think i would try and point out any small details or techniques you notice in the piece; i know this may be harder if you aren't an artist with a strong grasp of such things, but artists seriously love when you point out small things they didn't expect you to pay attention to, like the way light shines on something or the texture of a brush stroke. (and personally i do tend to value the opinion of non-artists very highly since that's the majority of who would be looking at my stuff in the first place.) obviously i don't speak for everyone but that's my take on the situation. i wish you luck with the video and projects moving forward!!! i can't wait to see what you come up with :)

I agree with most artists in this comment section, we’ll appreciate good feedback, and perhaps for the titan luz’s you can talk about how they drew them, very furry or unique positions or backgrounds, chibi, very detailed. Can’t really help since i can’t see them and i havent drawn or experimented with how to draw titan luz like i have with other cartoon characters like the core, frobots, and king clawthorne. I have a more accurate version and simpler to draw version for the three. Also my piece has tiny comments on the side so i aint worried about it being repetitive, the part im worried about is i would have to watch ALL of the however many hours the video is until i see mine, cause i kinda submitted it the last second. Making it the last one to BE submitted.

as an artist, who didn't get to join the art contest but wishes I that did, I personally don't mind if the commentary gets repeatitve! If anything I enjoy seeing other people's art and hearing you talk about them.

I think that no commentary for the art contest is a great idea because there are so many entries, and having to commentary will make the video less repetitive and also more like a showcase of owl house art from the community. It also will probably take a lot less time and make things a lot easier :D. Also… YAY MURDER DRONES :D

I like knowing what you think of my art or others are mainly 1. Is the story told by the image an interesting story? 2. What story does the image inspire you with? 3. Can you ad voice acting, jokes and music to the art? Every picture tells a store. Captured in a single image is CHAPPTERS of back story and after story a full episode's worth of adventure. I want to know if you enjoyed the story? where did your imagination take you? how did we arrive at this point? where will the story go next? I also like it when Hunter and Luz and Willow and Amity and Papale Bump and Hooty and Vee and Matty and Belos and Kiki and Comilla and the rest give there opinions And I look forward to more art contests in the future. I have so many stories to tell Stories about Luz, Stories about Zee stories about everyone. and many ideas for other shows.

For the art contest i think you should do the no commentary cause i understand that having hundreds or thousands of entries would be a bit exhausting to talk about. But i do think that the video will be amazing no matter what so id do whatever you prefer!

As an artist, I love to hear about complaints to make them better. I think it would be best if you dont voice over it, but if you do and you are running out of things to say, change up the words to make it sound a little different. You do you and just roll with the flow. :)

i think that even if what you say about the art is repetitive, its better than nothing and im sure a lot of people (including me) would like to hear what you have to say about our drawings if theres too many drawings of the same type (like titan luz) then you can bunch them together and say one thing about all the drawings, just to save time or not be too repetitive.

As an artist I perfer commentary because I want to know what I did wrong if it’s bad also it’s a big confidence boost when you say nice things about my art

As an artist who entered in (and this is just my opinion or something that I would do) I think you should do the thing with no commentary and just music in the background but you could also but some text abt it on the bottom of the screen if you feel like you really want people to know your option on the art just so the artists know you have an opinion on the art and not just editing them in with no opinion. again its just something I would do and I would love to know your option on what I think you should do :D

(Sorry if my spelling is bad I have autocorect on an I'm dyslexic) The thing is as a creator if you don't hate your work then you won't know how to improve on it later on so it's okay to hate something that you've made you can find what you didn't like about it bounce ideas off of peers and move on with a better idea in your mind If in a few days after making that thing that at first you were really proud of you suddenly hate it that's okay the human brain just decides to hate itself but like I said I would recommend bouncing ideas off of peers or a good community so then you can improve and some people might not even want that what if it's what you need then go through with it.

I say keep it on, no one has complained about you talking about an art piece and as far as i know, you're not repetitive but if you feel like you need a change. I suggest talking on a few you find funny, interesting or so and so. While having background music playing. Don't beat yourself up and take all the time you need, don't worry too much about it.
