Today we’ll show you how to update the firmware on the QC2121 controller. Equipment that you will need is a 2.0 high speed printer cable.
First the user should open Deep Sea Configuration Suite, power up the controller and, connect it to the laptop with the 2.0 high speed printer cable. The configuration suite will display when connected.
In the upper left-hand corner, click on tools. Then select update firmware from the dropdown menu. This will open the firmware update wizard. Follow the instructions.
The device type for communications will be USB unit, which is default. Click the next button. Unplug the USB cable and power down the controller.
Then, click the browse button to search for the firmware update file. Choose the proper files that correspond with the correct unit and version.
Reconnect the USB cable and power the controller back on. The downloading will start automatically. The user will receive the firmware complete notification when it is done.
The next step is to install the operating program.
Click the file icon in the left corner of the screen to open the files browser. Go to the Deep Sea programs folder and select the appropriate program.
When the program finishes opening, choose ‘write to module.’ Ignore the warnings that pop up and confirm the configuration. When finished, press okay to close the window.
To update the date and time, select ‘Scada.’ Once open scroll to the bottom and click maintenance. Click open hours and enter the desired hours. ‘Write to module’ as you did for the program.
