UPDATE: ARB Twin Compressor in Decked Ammo Can Switch Relocation

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video, we revisit our setup in the bed of the Chevy Colorado ZR2 AEV Bison. We have had our ARB Twin Air Compressor in on of our Decked Drawer System ammo cans for some time. The ability to turn the compressor on/off has been wired into our SPOD Bantam XD switch panel in the cab. Our panel is full, and we want to free up a space, so we made the decision to put into use the ARB switch we received with the compressor, and at the same time, move to the the bed with the compressor itself.
This video shows the steps we did to finish off this work. We had to to some break down of the Decked System to do this. That being the case, it was easy because we had some space and we had a fuse block already present to wire up the switch.
Take a look at what we did. Enjoy!

Clean install definitely looks like it’s going to work out great.

Nice set up, I have the Decked system in my Bison also, I'm going to look into doing this same thing, what size wire do you have running from your battery?

It is mounted into the box. I do not remove it to use it. You can see the air chuck is passed through the tailgate facing side of the box. The answer is yes, of course!

I'm about to mount my air compressor in my decked ammo can after seeing this install. I'd like to something similar with some 12v power there also. Do you have your air compressor connected to the aux fuse block or to the terminal block on the outside? Is the fuse block just for the aux power?

Thanks for watching!!!! The main power is to the terminal block there in the back. The ARB has its own fuses, so I just kept those in place. For turning on and off I had two different setups. At first I ran the purple wire up to the engine bay to my SPOD, so I turned it on via that panel. I wanted to free up space on the SPOD, so I then switched to just using the ARB switch here in the back.

@@FiveAngelsOutdoor I have a Decked drawer system in my Tundra. I went to dry fit my compressor into an ammo can yesterday and they're too small. Apparently the ones on your rig are bigger since there are only 2?

That is weird. A full size Decked system has smaller ammo cans that a Decked for a mid-size pickup. Man, what a bummer.

Omg, I keep saying this to other dudes on KZread that keep showing me cool stuff and it's probably getting weird at this point, but please adopt me!
