Hi Pam - thanks for watching. I don't think there is any need for glue on the chain. Once all five tabs are in place the links are pretty sturdy.

When I first started to make jewelry, I didn't have crimp beads, so what I did was use a seed bead and go though it a few times then slid it in place and placed 1 tiny drop of super glue, then clip cord and close up. It works great too.

I _love_ the chain-linked pendant - it feels very goth-meets-steampunk to me - totally _not_ silly! Am wondering if _three_ ring pulls instead of five would hold equally well _if_ you ever wanted to create a slightly 'lighter' chain - I'm assuming you chose five for strength? The bracelet beads are also particularly lovely I think. Brava, Cindy! 🏆🖤

PS - Wondering if you can seal the beads with gloss spray varnish instead of the Mod Podge Glossy - not sure if it would be 'toothy' enough to adhere? Just thinking 28 days is rather a long time to wait! 😂

Hi thanks for your comment/question. You could definitely make a chain with 3 tab links they look a little different but I am sure they would be strong enough. I haven't found I spray sealer that I really like. But I am not that familiar with adhesive sprays. You could also use regular mod podge which doesn't take so long to cure. Thanks for watching. 🙂

I was told Flush cutter or flat cutter is the name of the tool you used to cut you cord with.

Hi - Thanks so much for watching. Sorry I didn't detail that project better.

You could probably spritz a spray light coating of sealer onto beads before painting on the ModPodge, so the color won't smear off so much. Or even dip them into a dixie cup of watered down ModPodge to seal the alcohol ink, then brush full strength after 1st coat has dried.

You need some crimping plyers. They are worth the 7 bucks at Walmart...lol My dad always told me the right tool makes most jobs easier and more professional looking. You have great ideas. Do you do a lot of craft faires?

@@UpcycleDesignLab That's cool, they where probably of the same generation. I say that to you and then rig up my own twisty thing to try and make the beads from pop cans...lol I took the little "key" off of a canned ham and modified it to make my beads with. I hadn't seen the device you use, but I'll keep my eyes out for one when I get some money. 😊 I am also learning how to do needle felting, which is a good frustration getter outter....just don't poke yourself with the needle, ouch. Was wondering what part of the country your in. I find a lot of old small chandelier light fixtures that are broken and I dewire them and replace all of the bulbs with the cheap solar lights from the dollar tree. They make beautiful out door lighting for a gazebo or even hanging from a tree branch. I've traveled around the country a bit and noticed each region has their own types of recycled favorite. Was wondering what part of the country you hang your hat. I'm a small town farm girl and was taught to fix things instead of throwing them out. So I make up a bunch of stuff. Have you ever just stood in the plumbing ilse at home Depot and envisioned a flamingo made out of PVC pipe? The poor workers are always coming up and asking if they can help. I tell them thank you, but no cause I don't use stuff the normal way. It's more of a creative process. I always giggle and let them just think I'm a silly woman who don't know what's she's doing and then a few weeks later I bring what I was making back in and show them how I used their bits and bobs....lol Have a good day 🤗

Hi Deby Thanks 😊. I have actually made alcohol ink from old markers once. It worked well on paper but it is not as concentrated as the commercial stuff. Thanks again.

Hi Shaune - Thanks for your question. You could try it but my guess is that it would not work as Rit dye is intended to penetrate into the fibers I suspect that the color would not adhere to the aluminum. Thanks for watching.

I would like to know what tool you used to punch little holes in the aluminum for a pattern.

@@sandrajohnson2489 I have used thumbtacks to punch holes in the aluminum for some of my projects and there is a piercing tool that I got attached dollar tree that I use as well.
