Yes, it's very interesting how little they have to move in such heavy water.

Wow a 9mm suit; I am impressed that you can still swim in such thick neoprene (perhaps because the newer materials are more supple). Great footage as always! Very interesting clip about the effects of such small boulders on turbulence and fish holding places. Thanks again.

The open cell freediving suits are indeed quite flexible. This one unfortunately is very tight in the neck and made me feel choked the whole time. Might have to have it altered. Thanks for watching.

Love the content, exceptional. Keep up the good work. Yes we like to eat them but we must treat our fish and our rivers with love.

Absolutely, when you hunt a fish or animal, you spend years trying to understand everything about it and with that understanding comes admiration and even love.

Great footage thanks Peter. To bad about the negative garbage your receiving.

Hi Petr. Could that be a hatchery cutthroat at 5:15? Lots o' spots.????? K

We haven't had a hatchery program for cutthroat for about 7 or 8 years now. It's theoretically possible that some of those are still around, but they'd be around 20 inches by now. That is definitely a rainbow, 3 years old would be my guess.

@@petrhermanadventures9509 Hi Petr. So it's not a steelhead smolt? I noticed at 16.22 to 16:25 on the raw video a dollie comes up close to the camera. K

It's great to see this kind of rare footage but do people know you go catch ( allegedly) these fish and weigh them in local fishing derbys

This is the first time all winter I've bee in the river, but if I did what you allege, I don't think it would be unethical or an unfair advantage. I weighed in 5 fish, and won first place in one derby, second place in another, also weighed in the first fish in two derbies. I went to the river daily and landed 25 steelhead to make that happen.
