Planting a lot of marigolds, chrysanthemums, lavender, rosemary, basil, thyme, and lemongrass will help with the bug situation. I think marigolds, chrysanthemums, and lavender are your best bet. I plant marigolds in my garden every year and it keeps the bugs from eating my plants. I also added lavender this year.

I have successfully grown things from seeds. It helps if you soak seeds in water at least overnight. I try to save seeds from fresh fruits and vegetables to use. They work so much better!!! @Ladiofthewoods

Turn your citronella plants into candles after the season is done. Steep the dry plants in hot water, like tea, let this steep a day or two and freeze in ice cube trays to use on yourself as a repellent and store in baggies in the freezer. As well you can do the same with warm oil, let steep for about a week in a warm place, seal and save for next season. We do this with citronella, lemon grass etc.

Great video! You always cheer me up. Plant marigolds . They keep mosquitoes and bugs away. Also, burn incense. That will deter bugs. For the patio , get a Mosquito plant. It will grow tall. Smells like citronella and deters bugs. Also, you can rub some of the leaves on you and the bugs will stay away. You bring joy to to all of us viewers. ❤

Next time you have to leave for awhile, fill up gallon jugs with water. Take string and push it into the soul of your plant and the other end of the string into the jug of the water. I do that and do not have to ask anyone to water my plants while I'm gone.
My exact thought was a sliding barn door which provides privacy for your guests in the adjacent studio/guest bedroom. You'll still have the sunlite shining through in the hallway.

Nice compound. Don't tear down too many walls as snowfall seems to be trending higher lately and winds are strong.
When doing plants from seed Hannah as soon as they sprout a good stalk add a fan so that they can get stronger.I didn't realize this but once I did it was like.night and day with seed starts. The fan breeze just allows the plant roots to hardy themselves for planting outdoors in spring summer. If not the plants get spindly and shortly after can die.

Hi Hannah. I think you might like soil blocks for starting seeds. They make it very easy to see if your plant babies need water and they make transplanting super efficient. You can even start varieties with sensitive roots in them. You would need a soil blocker, a 1020 tray, and a 1020 bottom tray.
It's gives the old anne with an e vibes like the intro like the book readers will understand❤❤❤ lots of love for your future❤(first comment) 🎉🎉 I really wanna live like this so badly❤ being self independent taking care it's a really great thing❤

"Can't believe you guys are watching me clean an outhouse" lol we would clearly watch paint dry if you were sitting next to it! Amazing work on everything, as always
You're a hard worker, Hannah. Just an idea, you could cut out the burst pipes and then cap the ends off until you are ready to finish the plumbing. Then you could turn on your water again.
You should put a shade on the window over looking the woods for privacy when there is more than you that has to use the outhouse. Then when you are there alone you can pull it up or your guest could pull it up. It’s nice to have options.
I love your little cabin. What wonderfully cozy and warm homes you have created. You have put your heart and soul into your properties.
Love seeing when you post! Your videos are so calming & you are a complete joy!🤗
Hannah the forest whisperer ❤The hummingbird thanks you❤. Yes you are living a fairytale life but you worked so hard for that! Kudos❤❤
Those Mosquito zappers that you can hang up in trees, works wonders and also getting your property sprayed for mosquitoes would help a lot too!
I have one idea and I just heard it from my mom , if you are hanging hummingbird feeders wipe it with baby oil help keeps the ants away. It's Birds friendly .
Ok I love your gusto about ripping things apart!!LOL But 1 cretic "wear something on your feet girl"!!!!!

"I got electricity swingin'" My favorite quote of the video!
Just because there's a gap doesn't mean it wasn't structural🤣. Same with the mast step. It has to be over something structural or the mast will go straight through the hull one day. 10 minutes in and we already have 3 projects started👍
Beautiful heart warming introduction about the Lupinlane origin. Wishing more of your dreams to come true 🍀
As soon as the seeds sprout, take off the covers they Probably had damping off is why they fell over and died. They need to dry a bit between waterings after sprouting, water from underneath if possible and have a fan on them, maybe sprinkle cinnamon to help with damping off. Also not reusing the seed starting mix will help too, start fresh and clean. It's a bit to learn but easy once you have done it a bit.

We have this done and it has been a game changer! We couldn’t step outside without being eaten alive and now we’re able to spend time outside. I was initially concerned that it might have a negative impact on pollinators, but it has been the opposite. Since I’m able to actually go out and garden now, we’ve seen an increase in them :)
Coconut oil helps repel bugs. It’s all I use and I’m obsessed.
Hanna, your sister's project is an awesome addition to your channel. It is so much fun watching you two figure things out. Excellent cool ART creative space (that's how I first met you! Well, on your vlogs). Nice that you are creating an ARt space...A boat tent is a good idea, don't allow the bugs to stop you from the boat revamp, Molly; you got this, as you and Hannah are fantastic.. We love ya so watching ya clean the out house is just part of the vlog 😊
Hope to see the bathroom work commence!
Of course you need to install a compression post under the mast. The deck area under the mast need to be solid without any core or it shall crush. Your mast compression post need to sit directly upon the keel. Once you have the mast up and start to tighten the standing rigging it’s going to push the mast downward with a lot of pressure. You tune or tighten the rigging to approx 14% of the wires breaking strength. To do this you need a tension gage like a Loose Tension Gage. Make sure your mast is centered and not bent or with camber.
You should be proud can't wait to see what you do next😎👍
Hannah and Molly sound alike at times. ❤
petition for molly to have her own channel with boat renovations 🤝🏼😍
No end to the projects. Perhaps building some housing for bats around the perimeter of your land would add an insect control measure. Or maybe nesting sites for swifts and other insectivore birds

Found out today that coffee grounds keep mosquito's away, and down here in FL, we have to because of Malaria!! Yes, Malaria is in FL. Sprinkle it all over your yard. Hope this helps!!
Place mint leaves all around inside your home or vehicles whenever they sit for some time without occupancy. It really keeps the mice away.
For those wathing, one needs to use voltmeter to double check for power.
I love how you have your own sayings like "smash food in my face" (instead of shovel food in my mouth) cute!😊❤
Good job on the bird rescue. I used to work in a feed store and birds would come into the store from the warehouse. And if we left windows and/or doors open, they’ll be attracted to the sunlight and fly out when they’ve calmed down.😊
A beautiful, serene opening followed by a whirlwind of activity. Think I need a lie down 😊❤
